just bought arma 2 and its expansion to play dayz

i have read the tutorials and seen a few video's on how to get the dayz mod up and going but im still clueless as hell i literally need someone to get on skype with me if possible and walk me through this like im special ed please!

1. Run both Arma2 and Arma2: Combined Operations once to complete installation.

2. Download the latest version of DayZCommander from http://www.dayzcommander.com

3. Run DayZCommander and click the "versions" button from the top menu.

4. Click "Install latest revision" under Arma2 OA. Wait for the download and install to complete.

5. Click "Install latest version" under DayZ. Wait for the download and install to complete.

6. Press "Done" to close the versions panel.

7. Double-click any listed server to play.

#1 No entry 'bin\config.bin/CfgInGameUI/MPTable.shadow'.

#2 Error compiling pixel shader PSSpecularAlpha:0\

I don't have time to help you, but I would recommend watching YouTube videos so you can enjoy and learn DayZ at the same time.

Just don't doawnload anything from youtube videos. People trusting downloads from youtube videos promising undetected hacks and free loot, usually wake up and realize thier cd-key have been stolen and replaced with already banned keys.

Run Steam as Admin~

If that doesn't work, I had to uninstall reinstall. Fun fun!

Use dayz commander.

I personally failed to get dayz to work for me. I had to install Six Launcher and let that program fix everything for me. But right now Dayz Commander is better.

used dayzcommander as u suggested however the first of all the patching options the actual arma 2 patch claims i have the wrong cd key...please help! i just wana kill some zombies = (

please someone with skype and experience help me before i put my fist though my monitor i spent 30 bucks on a game just to play a mod for it and i cant get either the mod or the dam game to work ive reinstalled 3 times now

post if u can help me please its saying i have the wrong cd key i got it off steam i DONT have a cd key to the best of my knowledge

What you need to do is install Arma 2,then run the game as admin (as though you are going to play the game), once it comes up with the menu screen, just exit out of it, then do exactly the same thing with Operation Arrowhead, then load up dayz commander and install the mod.

if you are talking about the beta patch saying wrong cd key,dont worry just press continue it does not stop it installing.

If you are using Steam for Arma then simply verify the game files and the key issue should go away.
