DE6 - Abuser?

I was in there today for a while, got killed, fine alright nothing I can't get over.

The thing is, when I got back to get my stuff, this dude, which I think is the admin or one of his friends, teleports outside of my makarov range. I saw him disappear from 30m away from me to 500m away. He had a sniper and he wasn't alone, but I know he was the same player.

Don't think any kind of lag would do it, specially cause there was no lag.

Is this possible?

Do you have proof of this? Why do you think it was one of the admin team? Where were you in game when this happened? This would help alot.

Sounds like bad case of desync which starts about 3pm till gone 10pm because of usa, eu and rest of world playing at the same time.

Also what makes you think it was admin? we don't have nametags on the server, so assumptions are not good man.

(plus we support the game, not ruin it)

Once i restart server later i'll look through logs to see if anyone used a teleport script.

Getting really fed up with people randomly blaming the admin for evry funny/fishy/cheating thing that comes up.

Do you have any reason why it would be a admin or friend? did you get a name tag? saw anything to prove that it was indeed a admin and/or friend?

Or did you just asume it was for whatever reason?

I only thought it was the admin OR one of his friends because I remember when I logged they had some [HM] tags on it (bare with me, just came back from exams so memory isn't as fresh), the admin included (one of them had a *Admin* after the name).

I don't like to blame admins, I just assumed that because one of them was using direct voice comms, and his name was constantly appearing, making me think he was the one that teleported. He had the tag the admin had.

Hence I said "admin OR one of the friends". That could've helped in pinpointing the person, because that server had kill announcements and tags deactivated.

I'm just trying to understand what happened. I've never seen a cheater on this game so I don't know how they work. I just saw a dude with a sniper 30m away from me, and as I was going to shoot him, he teleported on the valley below, some 500m'ish meters away. He knew I was chasing him as I was easily sniped afterwards (no way to hide)

So, I still would like to know. As I already said, there was no lag and I'm sure someone that is related to the server (because of the tags) wouldn't cheat.

Still, I clearly saw someone teleporting away from me and then sniping.

Is it possible that the server can desync that massively and not having the yellow or red mark appear?

Yes it can happen so bad, that the desync has become desynced. Lol..

Seriously on the past week or so, there has been major desync across all servers... Sometimes so badly that it hasn't a good few minutes for our group to sync again...

our server goes quiet soon, i will be restarting to freshen it up and i will then look through all logs to see if anything suspcious is going on.

Certainly not any admins are cheating, we work to hard to get stuff ourselves and of course we pay for the server, just not worth ruining all that, but if anyone with scripts has been playing, i'll post back the details here.

I seriously think desync is probably what you seen, but we'll see.

Thanks MessHall. And sorry if I started pointing fingers to the wrong person. I just felt really mad when I was about to kill the dude that had killed me twice, only for him to teleport away and kill me :\

There were two tag teams on the server at the time. One with *TP* and another with [HM] or something with H on it.

The player I *think* I was chasing was Hubobaby, or something. The name was something like that, I'm sure it's wrong though, but it's along those lines. That player had the tag with the H, and he was the one using Direct Voice Comms, so I assumed he was the one that was real close to me.

I hope it's all desync, I already get enough hackers on APB >.>

Ok we have checked the logs and yes there was a hacker running scripts on at the same time as you were on - i won't post his guid or ip here but this is his name and what he was doing:

Player - Sky

He was using a teleport hack

who was using codes to spawn ammo and see everyone and everyvehicle on the map

So these were the only people on who were hacking, i will pass the info on to the correct people.

Also a note on this sniper guy he has been reported for aimbot before and also found our heli on de6 since someone nicked it off us, we thought he was sus, now we have the proof :)

I think you were in the wrong place at the wrong time, sounds like someone teleported to you and killed you, since this sky guy was on at the same time as you, it sounds like you were a victim of it.

However the admins and regualr players are clean and all thier logs are normal, which i didn't doubt so... yeah.. you got killed by a hacker/scripter, who it was is "probably" the guy with the teleport hack, since that's what you saw.

Ah, great! Then I'm glad I'm not actually seeing things, it actually happened. Good thing you caught him! Sorry if I blamed the wrong people, as I said I based my finger pointing on the direct communications chat, since you can only read it if someone is really close to you.
