Dayzo 182 Posted June 10, 2013 Monday Evening:No patch release today, because the guys who were supposed to update the Steam side of things went to a show in Prague for a week.Unlikely that the patch will be released this week.[source] http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/103845-177-rolling-changelog/

wireworld 65 Posted June 12, 2013 (edited) Sent email for me and my bro.this server sounds good!It is!We had some issues with a group who hacked ages ago and that was a real pity as it turned some players away. The regulars who play soon 'smell' if a group are cheating scum and alas it takes a while to get rid of them. We then go through all the shit of "we didn't hack, prove it" and a flame war starts. In the end one of the group admitted to me that they did hack in a pm.I built the server because I love DayZ and wanted to play, with like minded people who don't hack. I am the only admin now. I've invested nearly £800 on a years server hire, it's a quad core i5, in a data center with 100Mb up and down connection.Always looking for players who want to make it their home. Thats why GB Wireworld exists. It's a great place to play DayZ!Kind regardsMac Edited June 12, 2013 by wireworld

Whylex 2 Posted June 15, 2013 (edited) Great work with the server!I'm trying to recruit my colleagues from work to join us.But I do have to give a little minus about the backpack being emptied after log out.It makes it a lot harder to be friendly against others. The lack of space makes it a pain trying to transport supplies, such as blood bags, food and water to stranded fellows.Edit:Oh and also, I dunno if its just me.. but the chance of getting infected is silly high atm.Three of my last characters got infected on the very first hit by a zed.Too bad antibiotics are very rare. A definite game changer for the better.Today I've added a script that allows you to remove parts from vehicles, this should help with the lack of industrial loot in 1.7.7. So far it's testing well with no glitches. We've just found out that resting at tents can cure infection as long as it's your tent. That helps with the low spawn of Antibiotics. It can take quite a few tries to get cured mind!We have a few more new players and the community is starting to re-build nicely so if you could get your friends on that would be great, beanz for you :beans: :beans: :beans:Kind regardsMr Mac. Niten 1 Posted June 15, 2013 Hi Guys.Been playing on this server since May, thought I'd actually join the forums and give the game and the server some positive acknowledgement. Definitely loving the new (all be it testing) updates, I'm in agreement that the airstrikes, care packages and dynamic helicopter crashes are great additions to the game. The Z's currently at the top of their game, its not just the case of running round a tree a few times just to get rid, I had one spot me while I was prone at about 20m yesterday and had a two mile run just to get shot him, although this makes life harder for all of us, I welcome the realism that this brings to the game, I think before, I was guilty of previously disregarding the Zombies of some secondary threat, this is no longer the case. While the emptying of the backpack does not go along with the realism that I'm after, an empty backpack is preferable to having the impossibility of infinite ammo, so I'm in agreement with this.Loot is harder to find than previous but , this makes me appreciate the smaller things in life such as a coke or a decent sized backpack. The new update to remove parts from vehicles sounds good, I can see players returning to their vehicles and finding it resting on bricks, I predict some mischief may be afoot.I generally find that the servers current players are a bit more friendly than previous ones, but the memory of past and bitter experiences have tainted my trust in humanity, I'm friendly but well wary.Trying to convert some guys at work to get them off their Play Stations and away from COD, its hard going but I reckon I've sparked a bit of interest.Overall, my experience of this game is that is bloody brilliant so its a 5 star from me, I just need my Mrs and my job to give me a break so that I can play full time.Niten..
wireworld 65 Posted June 16, 2013 Cheers Niten,Thanks for the positive feedback and great bump for our server. I'm pleased you like my changes and I do work hard to give us a stable home for Dayz. As always, any one wishing to join us on GB Wireworld is very welcome.Beans for you :beans: :beans: :beans:Kind regardsMac
Whylex 2 Posted June 16, 2013 I've heard alcohol prevents/cures infections..Then we all can go to a pub in Electro and have a few pints. That would for sure make the game less PVP (kill on sight), and much friendlier!
Niten 1 Posted June 17, 2013 Got infected again today, I strayed too close while sprinting past a Zombie, got knocked over and infected in the same strike. I ran straight back to my camp eating lots of steaks along the way to keep the old blood levels up. At camp I found that only 1 out of 3 tents would allow me to rest, I think that this may down to where they are placed but, they are all out in the open and not inside trees or rocks or anything like that, anyway I rested about 10 times and after a server restart I rested another 17 or so times before my characters infection was no longer. Good job really as I used my last antibiotic a few days ago. I like this change, it works well and it means that infection (without meds) no longer means certain death, just as long as you have a tent.Niten
FreshmeatDK 22 Posted June 17, 2013 Will the new update prevent the ammo glitch? As a lone player, not having a backpack for permanent storage make things awfully hard, as I have yet to find a tent. But the server runs nice and stable, and whitelisting is a godsend.

Hopefully that will be fixed in one way or another in a upcoming patch. Until then, I can be found in Stratis. Edited June 17, 2013 by Whylex
Niten 1 Posted June 18, 2013 More findings regarding the "rest at tent infection cure".I have started up today only to find myself infected again (bugger!), if today is anything to go by then it seems that the "resting at tent cure for infection", is only temporary. Today I have had to cut a long range patrol short just to get back to my tent in order to sort myself out, luckily I had decent blood levels and meat to get me back without too many adverse effects. Looks like I'm off to the city for antibiotics!Niten
Niten 1 Posted June 18, 2013 Just logged back in and its taken me 8 rests to free myself of infection, I log out again and then back in to find it's returned, 2 rests later its gone, log in and out again and it's returned yet again, 20 rests this time to cure (18 mins of continuous resting). I did log in and out again and I am infected. I suppose this only buys you enough time to continue a search for antibiotics.Niten.
