Hard Performance Problems :S

Hey guys my Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead ( DayZ ) is lagging really hard , Ive got performance problems and other slowly loading textures and delays when moving .. my pc specs :

Main Memory 4096 MB

Graphicscard ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series

CPU Type 2x , 2800 MHz

System: 64 Bit-system

Processor: AMD Athlon II X4 630 Processor 2.80GHz

I would be happy if someone answers Iam really down right now this sucks just was so happy when I bought Arma II

Try setting your settings to low and your screen resolution down.

ARMA II is very demanding, so you pretty much need newer high end spec machines to run it at higher quality.

Thats not true, have almost everyting on high except Post prossessing (off)

(i hate it), shadow (norm)

Have vsync on so my Fps is maxed 60 FPS all the time except some dip to 50, regardless what i do or were i am.

I5,2500k |1 x 6870 ATI | 16 gb RAM, Win 7 x64.

and Arma is installed on Raid of 2 disks for better performance.

Strange, my PC is better and runs worse...

Also, most people with FPS issues are having issues no matter what setting. I can run it all on Max or all on the lowest, i still get identical FPS. so how can that be our PC's fault?

Going for Except Post Prosessing Off helped a Lot my fps is much more consistant and higher now but still some laggy shit :S I will try out the other tips too , so thx to all who helped :))

guys Ive found one thing which could be interesting ... When I open the game I get this Error but can start like everytime :

No Entry' C:\documents\Arma2.cfg.3D_Performance

3 Performance?? may this cause my laggs?

didnt read all answers, maybe someone said this allready

i had bad fps too for me it helped to start arma with this:

G:\ArmAOA\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -mod=G:\armf;Expansion;@DayZ -nosplash -world=empty -winxp -cpuCount=4

most fps i got with -winxp

edit: be sure u have the latest beta patch installed http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php

and change "HDRPrecision=32" in ur ArmA2OA.cfg normally in folder: C:\Users\"username"\Documents\ArmA 2

if nothing helps maybe ur Radeon HD 5700 is too weak

and the server ur playing on has something to do with ur FPS too, on some server i get only 30 on others 60 most time (vsync on) only in towns it goes down to 40

my system is:

amd phenom 2 x4 @ 2.8GHz

radeon HD 6870 1GB

4GB DDR800 RAM
