Player joins server with a dog???!?!

So a buddy and I were traveling up far north leaving our base camp and heading to the coast, when all of the sudden while rolling through a field a dog rolls up on us....not aggressive or anything just walks up to us and checks us out. We got out to investigate it and to see if there were any players around, but nothing. So are hackers now spawning dogs in, and what would be the point of that one? Has anyone else seen this?

Me and my mates were battling in cherno on a very busy server and we made it to the church to blood bag each other and a dog came running in!

We both just looked at it and thought WTF?? Lol

The dog ran bak out of the church and we just ran out of there.

Most likely a hacker either turned himself or another player into a dog, been around for months.

Players can get turned into animals by hackers, maybe it was a player trying to get shot so he coud respawn!

Me and my mate were so freaked by it and we didnt want to lose our gear or vehicle so we booked it...funny thing is we could see the dog chasing us for a sec funny to know now it could have been a player. I was too freaked to think straight, lol, next time we shoot.

It's a player, probably a hacker. Once when the mod started fucking up the ArmA2 editor (Before singleplayer was disabled), I tried to make a simple mission and I spawned as a dog. So either a glitch or a hacker.

The reason the dog is in the game is (possibly) a W.I.P. unit of the upcoming dogs in the standalone.

Yo long time lurker, first time poster here;

Me and my small group of friends encountered this on DE 1729. We were doing a run through Polana at night when a German Shepard made a run at us in the supermarket. It pulled in a few zombies as well and then disappeared out of town - That was bizarre by itself as we didn't believe Dogs were implemented yet but as we were leaving town, making our way up the hillside of Malinovka a truck came out of nowhere and made a B-Line for us. Two Russian players got out, exchanged words - seemed civil enough until they opened fire on us, killing one of my friends lol.

I can only suspect that one of them was the dog initially as those two players were the only others on the server. It would be quite a coincidence for them to find us like that. That was an odd evening lol.

There are many things which are long winded. People complaining about various bugs. Which update didn't get fixed. How other people choose to play the game and so on. At the end of the dat it's a forum for discussion where people are entitled to their opinion or in some cases, are just looking for peace of mind. If you feel a topic isn't relevant to you then;

Dogs have been in A2 for ages. (since the beginning?) They're also used in another Zed mod.

It's just some scripters attempting to be L33T.
