Think Before You Call Someone A Hacker

Have you ever been killed by a player that had a hacked weapon and straight up say 'hacker' i know i have.

I've played DayZ sometimes and actually found a dead body w/ items that i think are hacked weapons for example.

You have to understand that some people actually don't know what weapon is hacked in the game. Not everyone

checks the wiki for DayZ or comes to the forums or does any research on the game while playing it. Next time you find someone

w/ a hacked weapon don't call him a hacker, not everyone that has a weapon that is hacked is a hacker.

The reason i say this is because i was live streaming today with my friend and we both met up and he had a hacked weapon.

He does not watch any youtube videos or is even registered to the forums. He approached me w/ a hacked weapon. I asked him

how he got that weapon and he told me that he killed a player with an enfield. I knew he wasn't lying to me because if he was a hacker

he would of told me after the stream or offered me a weapon since i didn't have one at the moment.

We both got killed by a clan of 4 members in Electro and as soon as we die we heared one of the clan members say

"we killed hackers" and with an epic "laugh" at the end. So before you go off and call someone a hacker just because of the items

they have think about it for a sec they might of picked it up by another player.

So at the moment he meet you he knewed it was Hacked. What makes him better than a Hacker that spawned it in. Just an Ethik Question.

Sure sometimes people dont know but mostly they will know what they are Carrying arround.

I'm carrying only hacked weapons at the moment, i didn't spawn them :D

Chances are if you if find a hacked weapon and you know its hacked you will still pick it up and take it with you. Just so other players don't use it.

Or you might just end up using it aswell.

I found a few hacked weapons mostly on Snipers that thought they were good with the As50 TWS and there mates covering them with there Silenced Weapons like g36 etc.

So when i kill them i scroll my mouswheel and press the well known "Hide Body" button. And its gone

Lets say a new fresh player plays dayz for the first time ever and finds a dead body and finds that weapon you are talking about chances are his going to say

"OMG A GUN" and then his off trying to get more stuff or killing other players. The player that kills him and knows the weapon is hacked will call him a hacker

and the guy that died didn't even know it was hacked. You can't expect everyone to know about hacked weapons or other goodies.

If people condone the use of hacked weapons then they can be just as bad as hackers.

There has been a a long period for people to actually be made aware of the issue regarding hacked weapons. Most people know what is and isn't legitimate. If they use them then they are merely breeding the bad habits and taking advantage of a system that was not intended.

Eventually this attitude permeates the game and more people have the same views.

Do us a favor and drop them and/or hide them.

They may not be skiddies but they certainly are a waste of space.

i never said i would call every one a Hacker. But in msot cases they know it. And still uses the Hacked Gear, thats the problem.

I've came across some ahole admins that kick me for killing them, with a regular weapon like the lee.

Hacked weapons are like the One Ring. It's evil, and you really shouldn't have it. You really should destroy it. But the power is too great to be rid of.

I am not saying as50 tws isn't op, but you still need some skill to use it unless the person stopped moving. Compared to the normal as50, sure it's not as much skill taken, but either way you need to use range finders, zero, and then possibly lead them. Btw, a g36 is more than likely the same damage as an m4a1 cco sd. So it's not really an advantage.

actually, it is the same caliber as an m4a1 cco sd, so we can assume it's the same damage.

The reticule plus SD variant was never intended to be used together. It is not legitimate.

Even the TWS, still requires some element of skill, is not a legitimate weapon as the thermal sighting is not intended to be a part of this mod, after it's removal many patches ago.

There is nothing to justify their use.

Either educate yourself on what not to take or stop being naive.

Not disagreeing on that part, but just saying people act like a g36 has some huge advantage over you. Most of these guns are all the same stats, but different model. m4a1 vs ak74 or so isn't going to be much different. In the effective range, who ever has better recoil control and gets the shot off first will win. Just like a lee enfield vs m4a1. Two shots vs 4 shots with an m4a1 and generally a lee enfield shot breaks a persons leg.
