Can i have a definitive reply about the Gotcha issue, it's hard to determine if it's a configuration problem or a general gotcha issue without your input. Answering some easy questions would help tho:

get the same problem too, soon as more than 10/15 people join the delay kicks, in at this point its bearable - messages will be out by a minute or so , hit 30/40 + people its impossible to keep track, i've seen it taking upwards of 10 minutes on a full server for my messages to appear in gotcha after i have just said something on the server

Thank you, so if the issue is hitting any "big" server i don't understand how (almost) none have noticed it so far.. or none were complaining about it? I mean this heavily affect any "active admin" out there.

This is not possible at all with any kind of access.

How are other servers able to do it then?

I have read pages for people advertising their private servers and people say they have changed all the loot tables and % chance of items spawning in those locations.

The spawning of loot in buildings is handled in the DayZ client itself, not on the server. The client tells the server to spawn the loot and the server tells everyone else to - it's a terrible system and is why hacking is rampant. Modifying the loot tables in buildings would require modifying and redistributing your own version of DayZ (or possibly a massive rewrite to most of the server-side code which is far outside the scope of our services). The only loot that is spawned by the server is helicopter crash loot which can be modified but requires a comparatively complex rewrite to the server-side code, which we cannot support because the server code is updated extremely frequently (every 3 days or so) and your version would quickly become outdated and unsupported.

I was under the impression it is possible with FTP access but it requires rebuilding bliss which isn't for the faint of heart and can break your hive. It's still something I want to do one my server once FTP access is in place and I can actually track down some instructions on running build.pl for a server which isn't locally hosted.

Any information anyone else could share on this would be great though as custom loot tables are something we definitely want to implement as well as adding some other guns into the loot pool.

edit: never mind read ersan191's very helpful response now, makes me very sad we won't be able to modify our helicopter crash site loot though. Guess I'll just come up with something in SQL to randomly place custom weapons in tents or something.

That is exactly what I want to be able to do as well, thought it would be pretty easy to do with FTP access but obviously not. As I would just like to add some of the rMod weapons to the loot tables.

I think a lot of people would like to be able to, hopefully the bliss guys bring in some kind of system for modifying it or at least modifying the loot that spawns at the Wrecks/Care packages bliss spawns.

In the mean time you can manually place lots of guns that aren't in vanilla dayz into tents vehicles or players without any problems (besides a few of the MG's deleting your backpack). If I can do it in SQL I'm planning on setting up a camp at one of the airfields with a few tents and then randomly placing custom weapons and ammo into them before the server restarts.

Can you add a subaccounts option with permission control?

Could you also add the option to have dayz antihax enabled?

I add the rMod weapons through randomly placed ammo crates or boxes and just move or refill them on restarts. Can't remember who but someone on this topic offered that advice to me. Just spawn them in like vehicles except nobody can drive off with them.

What I would like to see or figure out is a way to get the rMod custom player models/skins working. It would add a lot more variety to the server and really help players and clans distinguish themselves.

I have built a trading post at Kelm Mountain which just has 4 URAL's which have various items in, you can check out Kelm Mountain on my server if you like, and if you like what you see I would happily share the files with you so you can easily add it onto your own server.

Awesome dude I'll take a look at that tonight are you adding the items randomly with a script? Would love to see your code if you could send me a PM I will of course share my additions with you when I make changes. I'll jump on your server when I get home from work and check it out.

I received a report today that new users to my servers (not ones I brought from my old servers survivor and profiles tables) are not able to login. I am unable to confirm this because myself and my squad members are all already in the database. But certainly from looking at BlissAdmin I can see there have not been any new players created since we switched servers.

I don't suppose somebody on the forums would be kind enough just to quickly log into my server and let me know it went ok I am at work at the moment and won't be able to test until I can find someone who hasn't played on one of my servers before - 37.130.229.228:2402

We do plan to add an option to upload your own custom server pbo file, but if anything breaks (and it almost certainly will) we will not support it, we'll just tell you to remove your custom server pbo - that's what I meant to say.

I have banned Thermals on my server though as they give players too much advantage, but it it easily changed.

I suppose if you wanted to be really clever you could create 10 different loadouts and randomise the loadout everyday.

Don't modifications of missions require rebuilding bliss also? If you let us upload our own then rebuild bliss server side that would be epic...

Ah I had already thought of that I'd like to be a little smarter tho, have a selection of tents and two are chosen at random on a timed event and two random guns are put in. Server then restarts and they're good to go. I think it's possible with pure SQL will share the results if I suceed

it's very simple to do you add a couple of ammo boxes to your vehicle_instance

just go to the map tool right click select custom and the class_name of the ammo box (http://www.armatechsquad.com/ArmA2Class151656165165341654165165165165f/index.php) once you have added thhe amount of ammo boxes you want make sure you keep track of there id

go to your mysql database to vehicle_instance look up there id and add what ever inventory you like to them just remember doing this the inventory well refresh it self every restart

every couple of days change there location

that simple

just to let you know to database tables can be made in excel and then ported over

good luck

That actually sounds like a better idea tbh placing them randomly across the map so players can get weapons that way.

Do you have the item code for an ammo crate as Arma2 Tech has loads of different codes or can I just use anyone?

just use what ever you like i use GuerillaCacheBox since it has the netting makes it alittle harder to see

Now this idea I do like, if my thinking is correct I could have multiple different ammo boxes with different loadouts then define a variety of spawn points for them, and loadouts in the vehicle table and hopefully they'd spawn randomly. I'm going to try it later thanks for being so helpful everyone :D

i have never tried adding them as ramdomized spawn points hmmm i wonder if that will work i have some people that i can ask ill get back to you on that one

but you can still add them and chage there location and inventory manually

Yea I had ammo boxes added in as a vehicle and thought about doing this as well. Post back how it goes. :)
