billyangstadt 272 Posted September 8, 2012 I've searched and have not found any answers.I've read that it's out of control and figured it was an overreaction by someone attached to their gear, WRONG.I join a server..loot for a few hours...boom hacker kills everyone in server.A few hours later I join a different server, a few minutes goes by..Boom, everyone is teleported to an off map camp and killed.I join a third server a day later...a few minutes goes by again...boom...mass kill.I had no idea it was THIS bad, geesh. Question, how would the standalone be any different? Isn't it using ARMA's code, which the hacks are algorithmed on? omgwtfbbq (DayZ) 1069 Posted September 8, 2012 (edited) As of now, jack shit. The problem is with ArmA 2 and Battleye, not so much DayZ. So it's not like they're ignoring it, more like they can't do anything about it. DayZ standalone is on (I think) the ArmA 3 engine, with a new anti-cheat along with it. More resilient to hacks.
