Theyre picked up at the fire stations dropped when they find a better gun and cycled out in stary/NWAF. What ever anyone would trade for it isn't worth the inconvenience. Welch (DayZ) 756 Posted September 8, 2012 All these answers are obvious. I'm very aware of the volume of the shots, I don't even wield my main weapon when in towns, or even shoot for that matter. You cant get anything done for less than the pre agreed upon "Currency". Ghillies l85s nvgs Range finders gps and so forth.In a strange way, it's too common to be cheap. Insaniac (DayZ) 235 Posted September 8, 2012 I would trade an AKM for a M1014 or a Remington, All three guns are effective and have their advantages but each has some sort of a flaw making them of equal value to me. Insaniac (DayZ) 235 Posted September 8, 2012 (edited) Well if there are a lot of faction wars on your server then most players would be looking for guns that are good at taking out other players and maybe not as good against zombies so things like the noise and low rarity of the gun might be irrelevant to some of the players on your server. The AKM is actually extremely useful against other players since it has a decent fire rate, high power and accuracy and common ammo, but someone would probably trade it away for a 5.56mm rifle or a AKS-74U Kobra. Snipers would also be a good trade for an AKM, the CZ is relatively easy to find (for a sniper) and is effective enough for a player to want to trade it for an AKM.Honestly though the value of a gun is ultimately decided by each player, some people will want a lot for one gun where others would give it away for free. Dirty Pyrex 23 Posted September 8, 2012 AKM is phenomenal. All about who's hands it's in. Two rounds is all it takes in most cases to bring anyone down. On top of that, plenty of ammo.
