Rixen 2 Posted September 7, 2012 I've manually updated ArmA II several times but every time I launch DayZ Commander it says I have a very old outdated version. I click the Install button there and it launches the beta patcher. The OA beta patcher quickly goes to 100% and says "ArmA2OA patch 1.62 has been applied successfully." but any time I go back to it it says I still have the outdated ArmA version. Nearly all servers are returning bad version errors so I'd really like to fix this.
Kyzahh 127 Posted September 7, 2012 Go to your Arma 2 OA directory and then go into the beta folder which is located:X:\...\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\betaCopy the arma2oa.exe file from it.Go back to the base OA folder, rename the exe there to something like: ArmA2OAbup.exeThen paste the .exe from the beta folder. That worked for me (steam version).
TIC 1050 Posted September 8, 2012 (edited) I have this same problem too.. Particularly Day-Z Commander as well. Here's one of the solutions that might work.First SolutionSTEAM VERSIONMy Computer > Drive (C:) > Programs > Steam > Steamapps > Common > ARMA 2: OA > Expansion > BetaDelete the beta folder, empty the trash bin and re-install the right version from..Manual Download(.zip File)http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.phpOr you can have it automatically downloaded from Six Launcher or Day-Z Commander. Try both if one does not workSecond SolutionGo in Day-Z Commander, go to settings, check the box Override ARMA 2: OAAfter that, copy the File Location from Solution 1 then paste it in the override box for ARMA 2: OA.Then update once againWARNING: There are some cases where it says 'Looks like ARMA 2 isn't installed' if you happen to have it on Steam, launch it and it'll be resolved :) Edited September 8, 2012 by TIC321
