Are tents savable now on 2.6???

We know they're in the patch notes, but notes mean nothing. 1.7.2.5 supposedly fixed artifacting. Did it? No.

As far as these tents go, I've heard they save once then fuck up... Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

i saw the changlog already. i just want some personal experience from others

Has the update been out long enough for a tent to be placed and a server to reset naturally?

im sure someone will restart the server manually to dupe items

Still not working.

Updated: Looks like it's working

I jumped on a freshly updated server running 1.7.2.6 and put down a tent.

I put a few wood piles in it and saved it.

Came back after a 6:00pm server restart and the tent was empty.

The vehicle I left nearby was still there but it was a bicycle so I couldn't test the inventory.

Update: When I logged in this morning (after another server restart) the items were back in my tent.

Update2: After multiple restarts my tent is still holding on to it's inventory. Don't know why it was empty after the first restart, but it seems to be working fine now.

Someone came across your tent while ridding a bicycle.

Good thing for him, he was thinking about building a bird-house too.

I've had no issues saving anything in vehicles/tents in 26. It seems to be working just fine.

So about the tents and vehicles. What happens if I put stuff in the tent and save the tent after that. Then take some stuff out from the tend and DONT save the tent. Will the server restart bring back those items that I took out after the last tent save? :huh:

Tents should have an auto save update when items get placed inside and when you take them out.

I do not care if i lose my bloody items, I just want a place to put shit when I have no space. If it stays well, it stays.

moral is keep your valuables on your body and value yourself MORE.

Well I just blew up a camp of 6 tents with a satchel and they came back after restart. This doesn't answer if they save or not but it was fun as hell and taught me that tents are the terminators of DayZ.

Well I was asking cause I wish duping would not be possible. I hope tents would have autosave.

Im not sure how tents work at the moment so thats why I was asking.

Has anyone ever figured out what ArmA2 uses the tents for?

Do they function as they do for a reason?

If they're changed for the DayZ mod will it impact the other game?

My tents are working now. I'm happy. I'm still figuring out all the do's and don'ts but so far they're saving. I'm not sure if they'll save items I put in them if I placed the tent, died, and then returned with new items. If anyone knows please fill me in.

Developer's Note:

* To change your DayZ UI options, go to OPTIONS > GAME OPTIONS > DayZ UI. This will only affect the DayZ UI elements, unfortunately it is not saving to the config file so each time you restart ArmA2 you will need to change this setting.

* You will receive a serialization warning in game when changing the DayZ UI option, just ignore it by clicking continue it will be gone in next update.

* DayZ UI Debug option is not working properlly (no debug indicator at the moment). deal-with-it.jpg
