kyle3009 0 Posted September 5, 2012 So far i have played on 2 servers and have a lot of crap on both........first one Tents with a bunch of stuff and an atv and so on.....second server even more.......the 1st effing Server has now been down for a week and now the server i got my good crap on is and has been down for the last 3 days.....What gives?...This is pissing me off Due to the fact of needing to stay in a certain area so i am not able to play the game.....Because both servers i started to play on are and have been down for some time now Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Zombie Jesus 723 Posted September 5, 2012 They probably shut down, one of the drawbacks of community hosted servers is some of them shut down and a good number have gone private and/or lingor. Typheran 20 Posted September 6, 2012 I had five servers that I played on. Sadly only three remain and only one of them ever has more then 3 or 4 players.I think people are rotating out of the game. I think that the lack of meaningful updates, the heavy influx of hackers and near non-existant cheat protection is really driving people away.I used to play all the time, now I have to force myself. In the end I know that I'll only quit after dropping to my death or watching someone teleport to me with a MK48 and godmode. s4pphire 45 Posted September 6, 2012 Easy solution; ignore vehicles and create backup tents on different servers even if it's frowned upon. I couldn't really give a shit if I lose my gear in a fair situation, but losing gear because of all the bullshit things that are currently happening as well as servers going offline is something I'll try to prevent from happening. At this stage in the game, there really is no reason to simply abuse the tent/server mechanics to hell and back, because frankly, that AS50 TWS won't show your Enfield any mercy.Having vehicles is nice and all, but on most 1.7.2.5 servers all vehicles are up at their original locations and thus finding a bicycle/motorcycle whenever you log on to get around really isn't hard. Hell, I'd go as far as saying that it's preferable considering a car is the last thing you want to be in with all the .50 cals around. What I'm trying to say is, accept the fact that the game is in a sub-optimal state currently and find a way to work around it.Oh and, when you're looking for a regular server to play on, research it. Make sure it has been up for a while, that there aren't any admin complaints about it and so on. Spending an hour to find a proper server beats dealing with hours of bullshit. sausagekingofchicago 4711 Posted September 6, 2012 This is why you don't put all your eggs in one server. The cars not saving has actually given a lot of people the chance to fix and drive them too. Instead of sitting somewhere off map collecting dust they're actually getting used. The tents being jacked is preventing some duping. The kiddies being back in school seems to have lessened some of the more annoying hacks. The servers not being populated with deathmatch morons is actually making the game feel like a zombie apocalypse rather than a poorly balanced CoD with a massive map. Why cry?
