As some have already said, it is probably server related. I know that I am running with a GTX 460 and I see a nice high FPS in DayZ/ArmA 2.

Do a search for the ARMA tweaks / optimisation thread. I could only wish for a gtx670, everyone knows arma is not the best optimised game but to be running crap on a gtx570 or 670..when i can run it maxed on a 460 or a 560ti i5 with win32 and only 4gb ram. What are the rest of your guys specs ? Are your drivers up to date ? Do you have failbook and 800 hundred other apps running while in game ? Have you tried the many tweaks mentioned here in the forums or at the BI site ?

I run an OC'd 9800gtx (Inorite?) and I still get good performance on 90% of the servers I play on. I have optimized settings as much as possible. When I tend to get lag, it's almost always due to the server not being restarted regularly.

Also, as much as people complain about it, I have NEVER seen any artifacts ingame, so I really won't complain about an outdated card.

The server does affect it too, but there really is no reason to not do the tweaks on almost any machine.

When running a mod, always search the forum of the base game first, especially when it's been around for years.
