M4A1 holo; how rare is it?

So last night I had found my first ever M4A1 w/ Holo sight. Never found it before in the Barracks; it's not even on the loot map, lol.

How rare is this gun and has anyone else found it in the barracks?

It is rare as I have not seen one in the wild either, at the moment though there are many many many dispensing tents that have it so its pretty common now until they fix the duping and fix the never ending spawning tents.

It's a rare weapon, but not exceedingly rare, like, (before this duping went completely over-hand retarded friggin' mainstream, I would say) the AS50 or the Mk 48 mod 0 (OK, so you've found it twice this week and once on a dead bandit - and SO? Is everything you do = farm barracks and camp firestation on NWAF?)

No, I think I've had this gun 5 times for the last 4 months of playing DayZ Mod.

Had the opportunities to pick it up, but I'm happy with my M4A1 "CCO/Camo" SD and M14 AIM combination.

There's alot of people who loves the possibilities with the M4A1 HOLO, for an example, lets say the grenade launcher. You can easily take out a group of 3 players with one click for the grenade launcher, making it one of the best weapons to get out of a heat situation. If you've got medium distance, fire a smoke grenade right in their face and start spraying that area. I'm surprised about how this stupid theory actually seemed to work 9/10 times of my combat situations (Or more precisely 13/14 or 13/15 over the last 3 weeks) - some people would call this weapon the combat winner. Have this weapon with 4 bandages, 3 HE's and a smoke grenade, ditch your handpistol and keep an extra STANAG SD mag for zombies, and take whatever sniper/spotter weapon in your backpack that you are comfortable with. It's a deadly nasty combination once you're used to it, and I can guarantee you that you'll have a lot of fun.

The popularity of this gun has, like with most high-end gear in this game, been rising exponentially since after the duping went overcross (Every 13 y/o found out how to do it), which is why it is so much less rare nowadays, as for an example, I've found entire tent cities outside of the map with like 10 of this weapon alone, with another tent containing 10x M16A4 ACOG, AKS-74U KOBRA etc. etc. etc.

So that around, yes, technically it's a very rare weapon (Spawn chance about 3.50% or less and in barracks only, if I remember correctly), but due to all this duping, you will probably find atleast 3 players per full server running around with this weapon.

Using it is your own choise though, the HOLO sight makes it alot sexier compared to the M16A3 M203 imo.

Be happy that you've finally have it just to have it, make your decision to keep it or not, and never regret. It's definitely not the last time that you will come across this weapon in the DayZ Universe.

You can find one with a grenade launcher in the van when it spawns, otherwise it is fairly rare. It also has an MK Mod, NVG, and satchels.

I've only seen the M4A1 Holo once myself. I actually had to double check which one it was lol There are still a few guns I haven't come across yet.

I'm not talking about the percentage chance of spawning. I'm talking about how often players see it, whether it be from other players or something else.
