Tank Crashes

Everyone's seen those ruined T-72s over on the edge of the airfield, and everyone's asked "Where's all the russian gear?"

Stick em in random spawn Tank Crashes. Similar to the Helicopter Crashes, have them spawn randomly on the server, but rather than in fields, have them spawn along roads and highways. Make them somewhat more common than helicopter crashes (maybe double the commonality) since they'll be able to spawn in a larger area. Let the following weapons (With appropriate ammo spawn) in them.

AK-107 GL PSO

KSVK

RPK

Saiga 12K

Makarov SD

SA-61

and the AKS-74UN Kobra

Introduce the proper GL ammunition spawns to military loot locations.

What do these things all have in common? They're not all russian (The SA is Czech). They're all something you would expect to be in an eastern bloc country, and they're all balanced additions to the game. Nothing breaks precedent. If nothin else, add them to the loot table. It'll help the ambiance of the game. :)

the Ak-107 would be a great addition quite honestly, and I approve of this, it's original (well, first I've seen) and isn't asking to add in anything crazy powerful. Not asking give me a tank but merely make those have the proper loot like the crashed helis, have them on roads going in or away from military places. And have it (excuse the reference to those who don't like the series) kinda like the Walking Dead tank, where there'd be more then just soldier zombies, but the regular zombies that overran it. And say, perhaps in the standalone, make them enterable, obviously not useable say, a broken track, no fuel, and no remaining ammo. Because even though our survivors know how to shoot every gun imaginable, run for hours and hours on end, and fly helis (well, those who played Arma 2 or at least trained) a tank would probably be a bit much. So hey, just my little thoughts on what you said and my little suggestions. Cheers mate! +1

Tank crashes seems OK to me, i approve this.

One other thing that i would love to see in the standalone version is a police station (or police stations).

That would be really amazing, a good source of weapons and ammunition and probably a hot spot for players.

i found an AK-107 GL PSO on a player i killed today, didn't take it thou since it was hacked into the game. tank crashes would be awesome and add another hotspot for players to converge on! I approve

yup, this + police stations + overrun strongholds + giant shopping malls = a much better DayZ
