Dogs

Hi there,

A dog ran to me today while looting a city.

I know this is a new thing but I would like to know if any of you were able to tame one.

Basically all it did for me is ran to me, start barking at zombitches giving my location to them, then run away barking everywhere in the city.

Can I lure them with some meat? Then get an option to tame them?

As long as it wasn't a rabid zombie dog, I wouldn't worry just yet. shame you couldn't have taped it's mouth shut though.

I wish we had only this type of hackers in DayZ...not those assholes that kills whole server and shit like that.

But ofc the best solution would be to not have hackers at all if possible.

Ive seen a video of someone who tamed a dog so this is why I was asking

But the one ive seen was too alive to be a legit dog :P

It was a hacker lol, dogs aren't supposed to be introduced, along with a fix for vehicles/tents disappearing, until at least the 6th

The dog might have liked you to be his friend or playmate. They are sensitive and can sense good and bad people.

Sorry I didn't bother to look at the interactive wiki map, it's just where I found one ;( But if everyone followed "I found this here, so check there" we'd all be a lot less equipped :/

I DID try to search the forum and it is kind of confusing to see a video of someone interacting with the dog using the mousewhell and then other people talking about hacker

I experimented with dogs a long time ago.

I did not write the code, just adapted it, for my own needs.

What Rocket is trying to do is quite complicated, I really do hope they work it out.
