DayZ is Now Unplayable - Fuck Hackers/Scripters

I have now been unable to play for more than ~3 hours before being instantly killed/teleported by scripters.

This has completely destroyed my motivation to play.

Which, is really disappointing because this game is the most fun I've had with a game in years - even in Alpha the few bugs that exist don't bother me.

I guess I will have to wait for standalone because based on what we know there will be no attempt to make the mod resistant to the current scripts.

Unless, anyone know of a US server that NEVER gets hit by this shit?

I've switched servers MANY times and it is no different no matter which server I play on...

No server is safe. Oh and congrats for creating the 8500th thread about this issue

The only thing that saved me from hackers was to play on a low populated server. If you play on a server with 30+ people you can guarantee at least one of them is hacking. Play with around 10 and perhaps not.

That's all i can suggest. It sucks i know.

I try. When I join the server there are ~5 people, but for some reason they always seem to fill up to 30+.

I also try joining servers with 0 people but they never seem to load for me....guess that's why they have 0 people?

They may not have been nice about it, but those guys are right. These threads are repetitive and superfluous; there's really nothing more to say on the matter at this point. It sucks, we all hate it, some of us are struggling through it. I appreciate that you didn't bitch at Rocket or the rest of the dev team though, common courtesy is very nice to see.

I'd recommend trying to find a private server, one that you have to request permission to join, or join a loose clan with a server. The hackers have a much reduced presence in those, and if they do appear, they get perma-banned from the server.

Play on Expert servers. I've yet to encounter a hacker in those. Night time servers also thins out the hackers and griefers a fair bit

And without fail there's always a hacker.

So unless I'm just online during 'hacker primetime' and the other 20-21 hours are hacker free, then there's a serious problem.

I'm personally taking a break from DayZ to play other games where I don't waste 1-4 hours of gameplay every time some script kiddie decides to strike.

Try out private hives. Many of them are PW protected and you have to register on forums that correspond with the servers host. It helps ensure less issues and is worth the few minutes it takes to get set up.

I know how you feel OP for a few weeks i kept on being ported around and killed by hackers but i managed to find one server that's nice to play on, during the day it has around 20 people on and at night time when i play it has around 10.

For two weeks i have not come across one hacker or been killed by any. I think the amount of "scripters" will fall once school starts again (lets hope so XD)

It seems hackers pretty much aim for the most populated servers.

As most people avoid night-time servers, the hackers aren't likely to go on there.

But as soon as people start switching over to night-time servers to avoid hackers, the hackers will simply follow.

Its like viruses and Mac OS. Never used to be worth programming viruses for Mac's because hardly anyone used a Mac. Now more people use Mac's there's more viruses for it.
