Did your chopper come with the tail rotor working or did you manage to repair the tail rotor? Because I recall Rocket saying that the tail rotor assemblies were not in the game yet.

The Rotor assemblies were introduced in a patch on Thursday. Was lucky enough to see somebody mention in chat that they'd found one, and he wandered into my gunsights not 5 minutes later. :p

Tonight was awesome, and thanks to all those along the coast who cheered as we performed a flyby over the major cities.

You can't. They will restock after server restart.

Nice to see, although i had a grim moment when i saw the MGs looking down at the flare, a flash forward to times when helicopters would fly over the beaches shooting anything that moves... griefing at max level.

Anyway to have helis w/o mounted weapons but the ability for the guys in the back to shoot (pretty sure there's a script/mod for it)?

Question: Is there, as of yet, a way to store it for further use w/o the risk of having it stole when your team logs off? (Besides hiding it on an Island out at sea or other parts of the map where it's very hard to get to)

Was a top mission. Felt epic guiding the heli in from the ground with the flare. Whole thing went off without a hitch.

I should have recorded my "Helicopter action"

It consisted of me finding a can of gas, and moments later seeing a rotor poking over a rooftop. This was my first life in the game, and I have never played arma before. I fill her up, hop in the pilot seat and proceed to take off. Immediatly after liftoff I started to spin insanely fast (guessing the tail rotor was missing) the only control i knew was throttle up, i figured i'd learn the rest on the fly. well.... after about 15 seconds of the fastest spinning ever, i crashed into a field and slowly bled out as a swarm of zed that followed the light and noise of the crash slowly ate my body. fell in love with the game at that moment.
