People who murder bandits =/= heroes

I wouldn't agree because if you turn into a bandit after killing a bandit, more people will think you are actually a bandit and try to kill you on sight, thinking "OH SHIT, IT'S A BANDIT!" The loop continues on and on. I think killing people that ruin the game for everyone else is a wonderful thing. :lol:

Pretty much been running around on the servers I normally play on and kill every bandit onsite love it

I agree.

Killing without provocation, taking direct fire, is vigilantism.

Heroes are NOT vigilantes.

This goes out to all the potential heroes out there.

Imagine a scenario where you come upon an injured bandit. He tells you he has -100,000 humanity but asks for your help. He has a broken leg and slips in and out of consciousness. You have morphine, an epi pen and a blood bag. You also have an m4a1 cco.

What would you do?

Heal him, shoot him unconscious again repeat until I earned enough to kill him and lose nothing! :D

Seriously I'd shoot him in the face then go about doing deeds of good to counter the negative hit. Like I always have done.

Ehm... there are no laws or armed organization enforcing security policies in Chernarus. It's on your own hands to enforce whatever you stand for, so there is not such concept of vigilante here. Think more about something like the wild west but without sheriffs.

If i find such bandit i'll kill him and loot him. if it's not in the open i might use my hatchet to avoid using bullets. I'm only friendly to bandits who i know and therefore i'm sure they won't shoot at me.

Killing a bandit does not make you a savior. In fact, it makes you part of the 'bandit' problem. You are merely killing another killer. You are no better than they are.

That is why even kills made in self-defense reduce humanity, and should continue to do so.

Hunting bandits and helping other players is where its at you get into way more crazy situations this way and you meet some great people . Instead of being a loner on a hill with an as-50 taking down unarmed players which must be so f-kin boring . Bandit killer for life

Sure guy.

I choose my targets. Bandits shoot everyone. Huge difference when you're on the other end of the barrel.

Bandits are crying harder than the carebears now that they're the ones getting hunted.

Haha yea, now people can identify and kill them at range like they do to other players suddeny that makes it "Unfair"

we're all good and bad guys. cause you call him a bad guy and yourself a good guy and he himself calls you a bad guy and himself a good guy. stop complaining about the bandit hero crap. bandit saves his mate from other guy so he's a hero. you kill another guy to save your friend you're a hero. now you're both a bandit aswell cause you killed someone else...

I think you've kind of misunderstood, by bandit they mean players who actively seek out other players with only the intention of killing them, sometimes for food, sometimes for gear and sometimes just for (and this is a REAL quote from a bandit) "Target Practise". They mean REAL bandits, the type of people that will kill you so they can wait close to your body and kill you again 2 or 3 times when you try to get all your stuff back from your body, and when they are bored they will hide your body just so you can't get your stuff back, REAL bandits, real cunts.

We all have a choice. It doesn't matter whether you're a survivor, hero or bandit. Sometimes in order to survive, you have to kill someone, whether it be for self-defense or other reasons. That's what I like about this game. The freedom to make your own choices.

Most games server admins can turn "friendly fire" on and off. If Rocket wanted to leave that portion of the game out he would have made it that way. Bandits are a necessary part of the game otherwise it would became very boring just gearing up and avoiding zombies.

Humans are built to be bandits. Any higher civilization strives to be on top of the food chain and in this game bandits are the top. The rest of you guys are crying little defenseless bitches. If you want to be the top dog you have to fight for it. The only thing "heros" want to do is come here crying when killed by another player.. Buck up and go kill them back. It's a damn game for gods sake! If I wanted to be a responsible citizen I would just go about my daily life as I do now. In a video game I want to be the opposite so stop all your fucking crying and play the game as it was intended.

I dislike how you generalized all heroes as cry baby carebears. I'm a hero and I prefer to stay that way. I my policy is don't shoot first. UNLESS your a fresh spawn is the fire station in Elektro cause that place is an arena.

I always try to kill any bandit on sight, just trying to do the right thing.

Suggestion:

When you kill a bandit the game add the same amount of humanity that when you kill someone.
