A change is as good as a rest!

Recommended Posts

I've been feeling a bit frustrated with dayz lately. Spawning in strange places so often gets me a little down. But today one of my favourite people suggested I take a look at a server. Said it was quiet and so it would be less likely that I'd be shot in the head the moment I spawned.

So I gave it a try, and the moment I arrived in town I ran straight into a bicycle. Just parked in the middle of the road, outside the church. I looked around to see if it belonged to anyone but couldn't see a soul.

So I took it and went for a ride. It was brilliant. Up and down the coast I went, even did a bit of hunting. I had such a good time, I wanted to tell everyone. Sometimes, when you're a bit down, or your mates have pissed off to Lingor Island or you're bored of spawning god knows where, some little surprise happens and your day's so much better!

That was my first experience of seeing any kind of vehicle spawned in dayz, right there, just for me. :)

They are the best times in DayZ, I spent weeks looking for a server to call home but every day i would run into some script kiddie and yeah you know the rest but i found one server and i have not seen a hacker for over a week now. Even during the day the server has 25-30 people online and still nothing. I love it :)

Yep, it was great having just zombies to worry about. Tomorrow I shall be attempting to put up my first ever tent! *gasps in awe* :beans:

Don't try it. It's just gonna end in disappointment. Wait until the next patch comes out.

I gave up on tents until I hear they are fixed.

Use at your own risk.

I have a sleepy server where there is usually less than 10 people on at a time where I play.

And I have a motorcycle there.

I don't mind avoiding people at all.

I'll only put low value things in it - it's just to experience putting up a tent. I don't mind if I lose it all due to some glitch.

Yes, dayz is a different game when it's no PvPers. It's just a happier, more pleasant place. I wonder why Rocket seems so keen to make the PvPers so happy. Odd.

I felt like I'd been on a mini-vacation today just cycling through fields.

Goodnight.

Just be careful with those low pop servers. It's easy to get bored...or complacent. I practice in Arma 2 with all of my guns, every day, just to make sure if I get caught off guard by the rare low-pop bandit, I can keep it together.
