blynx 10 Posted August 26, 2012 I agree with you in many respects but i once felt like you, until i met a group of honest people. Now im having a load of fun up north we have a massive camp and we have no duped items that were intentionally duped maybe a few bandages and water bottles here and there but its the way the tents are working at the moment. Ive been player killed, bandit killed, hacker killed, and even hero killed.

Wargunner 55 Posted August 26, 2012 The reason why you get reminded a thousand times a day is you someone haven't figured it out yet it is an alpha. You clearly have no fucking idea what an alpha is.I hate these forums sometimes, especially people like you.Hate all you want my friend. I simply don't care what people that can only see things from their own perspective think.I realise this is an alpha, I don't get angry when my tent or vehicle disappears, or when I'm dropped from 1000 metres. However, I understand that others might, and I believe that is perfectly acceptable.Oh, and I'm sure you hate these forums, you and all your 840 posts. sostronk 334 Posted August 26, 2012 OP go find yourself a Private Hive with a decent admin. Public Hive servers are full of hackers and always will be. With a really good private hive admin, there will be literally no problem with hackers, I know from experience. Even if a hacker gets into the server the admin bans, sends the logs to BattleEye and reverts the server to right before he joined. This mod is great, but the majority of players in this game right now just want to cause grief. Its sad but true.

Cerven 80 Posted August 26, 2012 How do you say 'you are a snitch rat' and then say that there is no allegiance or insinuated trust between group members in the same paragraph? Does your head not explode?
rogue246 28 Posted August 26, 2012 I love the guys who say "When the standalone game comes there won't be any hackers". Are you guys living on the moon? Theres' hacks for every single game ever made so what makes you think dayz standalone won't be touched? I'll give the hackers 48 hours to break that game too. Sucks but it's sadly the truth. Skat3rat 1633 Posted August 26, 2012 I do agree with you being upset about the hackers. When I posted what I did earlier I didn't quite understand what you meant. I do agree that it is frustrating to have hackers constantly killing you. Maybe I don't care as much about being killed by hackers because I enjoy starting over. Asterix (DayZ) 6 Posted August 26, 2012 I love the guys who say "When the standalone game comes there won't be any hackers". Are you guys living on the moon? Theres' hacks for every single game ever made so what makes you think dayz standalone won't be touched? I'll give the hackers 48 hours to break that game too. Sucks but it's sadly the truth.True. But there is a difference between the frequency in which players experience hackers from game to game. I have played WOW for many years and only experienced one weird event, and sometimes you hear stories from other people, but those come by very rarely. On the other hand, in DayZ MOD, it's a multiple times a day event. I agree with you that the Standalone probably won't fix it fully, but if Rocket and BI do a good job, it can at least slash the hacker population by a lot. It would also be nice if they ran servers from their facility, instead of giving ownership of server to the public.
sostronk 334 Posted August 26, 2012 League of Legends is near hack free. Things pop up from time to time but they don't last long. The only thing that is in the game is a maphack that reveals players on the mini map, but not the map. And if youve played League before, this is as good as useless. DayZ can't acheive that though. Dayz is very unique in that respect and is a very attractive target for hackers being it's wide open for many different ways to "control the game". Other games have map hacks and things like that but with dayz a hacker can control everything which is why I think it will never be eliminated. When the standalone comes it will slow it down for a minute but I forsee it growing even more. I really hope I'm wrong since i enjoy this game but I don't think that will be the case. kebman 213 Posted August 27, 2012 I don't get it. I love the game, despite some hacking. Jeez! It's just a game. :D Well, a game where you spend hours hoarding stuff, only to get killed an loose it. Well, shit happens. I try to plan for dieing, for instance by getting tents before I try getting a vehicle. In the end, you're gonna die, one way or another.Yes, hackers are sad people, and I cannot believe it's so many of them. Why, and what for? I don't get it. If they want to cheat, why not go to the cheat server sandbox, and hack away. It's not cool destroying for others. But I guess these people feels a need to be superior - probably for a lack of it in real life. Anyway, it's not enough to ruin my game experience.
libertine 351 Posted August 27, 2012 OP1: you are a fucking snitch rat2: you seem to think people give a fuck about you as a person. We do not.3: you seem to think online videogames have an allegiance, or insinuated trust between group members... You are wrong.4: your naivety makes me think you get taken advantage of in real life by every person you meet.Go cry somewhere else pansyboy , we do not give a fuck about your tears.*Warning point issued for abusive language* FraggleOh, what i would say if not bound by god damn rules....1. You are a motherbleeping, bleep, bleeping, bleeping, bleeper, bleeper, so congrats on that....and probably a piece of bleep cheater who literally ruins other poeples fun to gain a bit, just a little bit btw, for himself. Have you also made yourself a problem of your society?2. A lack of caring about other people in general is usually caused by ignorance, which is the factual and more polite word for STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So also, congrats on that too, great job.3. Many people MIGHT think that people who play online video games are the same trusting, considerate [think about that word dude, "considerate"] people they know in real life. Then they go online and meeting bleeping bleepers bleeps bleeping bleeping bleeper life you.4. I feel sorry for you and the people you live by. Most people desire fairness and are considerate of others, their feelings, needs, desires, etc, hopefully you'll meet some eventually so they can teach you civilized behavior and civilized thought. My guess, your the guy that joins the Army, goes into Iraq gun-ho, kills a few civilians on purpose, then is one of the masses of military personnel that kills himself.
libertine 351 Posted August 27, 2012 (edited) If you dont like the difficulties of playing an Alpha, why did you start playing an alpha. They get hacked, they have a ton of bugs, it is concept of a game, not a full production, get over it.Kids crying over games is ridiculous to me. Thadeum 103 Posted August 27, 2012 (edited) Your story is exactly why I never tried to abuse my scripts when I was cheating.I wanted to exploit the game but not to break it by demotivating players around. And even as a cheater I also got killed by other cheaters teleporting or just instakilling me. I always found that very lame. CyberTyrant 6 Posted August 27, 2012 I just came to the realization about 5 minutes ago, after being teleported and killed for the 2,053rd time, that I'm done playing HackZ. It's not fun anymore, simple as that.

Cerven 80 Posted August 28, 2012 True but this mod is alpha which is exactly what people are referring to with the bugs. Hackers can exploit any game whether it's been around for 10 yrs or 10 days That's a fact of life. This game seems to attract them more then others..Half true. While stuff like aim mods and wallhacks might exist in most FPS titles, you don't see whole servers getting nuked, thunderdomes, that sort of stuff in other titles. 'That' sort of stuff is preventable on most other engines. It's not DayZ, it's really Arma that's got too much of a trusting engine that allows this sort of thing to happen. It's not that absurd for players to be fuming about the rampant hacking in a game that's this many years old. It's just getting attention now because DayZ has made the game popular.
