morel 1 Posted August 26, 2012 I have been playing this game for a few weeks now..apart from having to try to join servers and failing 89% of the time. I finaly join and play for a few days keeping my health, guns, ammo ,backpack and enjoyment of playing a really fun game. I finaly found two rifles which to my real enjoyment i found the game to be a breath of fresh air. Only to be kicked in the teeth the next time i try to join a server I try to join again and fail so many times with so many fail attempts you were kicked by battleye admin..you have script # whatever there's alot that comes up to stop me playing ( what script) I have installed the game according to what i saw on youtube...I finally join a server only to find i have no gun, ammo ...all the things i took hours to collect to be ousted out of my game to find i am back to square one with nothing for my hours of effort...I really don't have a clue whats going on .. i only want to play and have a laugh...I know it's in Alpha form just now but jees...for new people comming to spend cash to play a game (mod) and to have such a hassle and failure is really intolerableI am saddened and dismayed......... GEARSTICK 5 Posted August 26, 2012 I've had the same thing happen, if you played on an official server then changed to a one that isn't you get a new character.But I found out if you go back to your first server or another official one you will get your original character back. ThuggleS 45 Posted August 26, 2012 Find a few servers near your location with low ping, and if you can join them easily and quickly, favorite them.I have 5-6 servers that I know work 100% for me. Meaning they aren't connected to the main hive. You usually get a fresh character (if the server is really custom they actually give you shit every fresh spawn" But when you connect to an official hive server you still have your previous character intact. morel 1 Posted August 26, 2012 (edited) Thanks for the replays and help... Looks like everything is uptodate as far as i can see. As pointed out i'll try stick to just a few bunch of servers..i get an error with............... picture ca\ui\data\logo_arma2_pc.paa....................not foundand an error with bin\config.I also get kicked for some battle eye script restriction what ever that is...again thanks for the help much appreciated.. If i could play Dayz without any stupid other game i would. So in essence my friend you are wrong.. I payed an bought a game to play a mod. I bought Skyrim for less of this mod work the math...I can play and have fun on Skyrim any time i want.....I have to deal with a lot of issues with this (mod) not a game a *mod*This is not a go at anyone to do with Dayz.. i do love the game and thanks to the replys to my questions on problems i have encountered and i have solved some of the issues .. i cant thank you guys enough..As for the mod i hope it gets the fame it is due... honestly it is a breath of fresh air compairing to other games ... keep up the good work guys..
