that thing looks like a piece of junk. don't know what price are down there but i'm sure you'd get better value if you built it yourself

Personally. I'd much rather buy the parts separately and build the thing myself. (Or even get a shop to do the building if you don't trust yourself, it'll still probably be cheaper.

No, no, no, no, no. Never buy pre-built systems if you want a gaming computer, ever. And on eBay? Even worse. Build your own. 2500k, GTX 670, 12GB Ram, 1TB Drive, 60gb SSD, 922 or 932 HAF Case, 650W PSU, pretty much all you need, shouldn't even cost 1 Grand

That seems like a good enough computer to run DayZ. But I believe that you are better off building your own computer. Nothing beats the new Ivy Bridge processors from Intel. For video cards, Anything over a GTX 550 TI will work perfectly fine. I tend to stay away from AMD myself.

Intel/Nvidia combo is nice imo. I threw something together quick with the new intel bridge processors and run 2 550 ti's combined with the ripjaw g skill ram. Good bang for your buck!

Www.newegg.com is a good website to check out as well.

Preferred specs for a $1000 gaming system:

  • CPU: Intel i5 (Quad-core) ~$220 USD
  • GPU: Radeon 7870 ~$260 USD
  • RAM: 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz+ ~$40 USD

The rest doesn't really matter, although personally all of my high performance systems run an SSD - the performance increase is something I can't give up.

Whether you buy it or build it, those 3 things (you can go higher on the GPU if you want, like a 7950) I highly recommend for the best bang for your buck.

I have a Radeon.

I'd prefer a Nvidia 680 over a 7970 at the moment, but with the lower end of the price field, AMD is much better than Nvidia. (Sometimes the friver support can be a little off with AMD, but I haven't actually used an intel either but i've heard it's better.

Iv got i5 2500k, GTX 660 ti and 8gb ram, and i run and stream the game on High while holding 60 fps, so you'd only need something like a i3, gtx 560 or ti depending what you can afford and 4-8gb ram. Wont cost to much!

I bought all my parts from new egg and built my own pc for about $650 and it runs bf3 on high and dayz on med-high. When i get home I'll put up a pic of my old shopping cart when i get home from work.
