DayZ Standalone server cap

Recommended Posts

Will the standalone game have a higher server cap? I have just started to play the game but I think there needs to be more humans on a server. I'm having a hard time finding people with a max server.

There will be a cap but it will be a much higher cap. I think 250 player cap. Not sure though.

And where exactly do you get this information? I'm curious.

I think I saw it on the forums. I might be completely wrong though on the information.

Rocket resently said that 100-200 players are easily achievable for the standalone and more would require a bigger map

Here is a quote I took from the reddit Q n A thread ( http://dayzmod.com/f...stions-answers/ )

Q: With the standalone, you've said 100-200 players per server is a possibility. How are you going to tackle the density issue? Will the Chernarus in the stand-alone version be much bigger than the current iteration? Will we see a totally new map that's bigger?I'm just concerned about 200 players on one Chernarus-sized map. I feel that'd be more deathmatch than survival.

A: Make the maps bigger is the answer [Rocket's answer]

Rocket said it in a Gamescom Interview I think (But it was 100% in an interview)
