Crayolacrayon 10 Posted August 24, 2012 I have a simple question how do you go about re-arming helicopter door guns in Dayz? Do they reset their ammo on server restart or can you manually refill them because we have a stockpile of 240 ammo and couldn't find a way to load it in. Venzire 76 Posted August 24, 2012 Once used it's used....
Crayolacrayon 10 Posted August 24, 2012 That's just disappointing so my friends and I didn't just win the game? We'll only get to look cool and get shot at?
zuk 39 Posted August 24, 2012 OP don't listen to Venzire as it is completely incorrect. After resets the ammo is topped up.
decoman 45 Posted August 24, 2012 (edited) I suspect it might be possible to reload the gun as long as the ammo is carried in your inventory (not backpack). I am confident I have tried this myself on one occasion. Edited August 24, 2012 by Treehugger
Crayolacrayon 10 Posted August 24, 2012 Well we tried every method of reloading it unfortunately we can't test if it refills on server restart because our server has the issue where vehicles don't save their location when the server is restarted. We just know where the helicopter spawns and log out with the items required to fix it upon the next server restart.
deepfried 95 Posted August 24, 2012 you can't reload it manually (not by any method i've tried) but it does replenish on server restart.
SmashT 10907 Posted August 24, 2012 (edited) I'm sure they use m240 ammo, you just have to have additional m240 ammo in your inventory then get in the gunner seat. Edited August 24, 2012 by smasht_AU
