So... Yesterday was an eventful day for me in DayZ. Found an M9 SD + 2 mags at the NW airfield, then went to Stary; got in a gunfight with an FN FAL + 4 mags and the military flashlight that's evaded me for 2 weeks as my reward and then found an M24 + 5 mags in the tents. Then I headed over to Novy and that's where I met Fred...

He was low on gas but I decided I'd take it for a spin anyways and deal with the problem of gas when I came to it... I stopped at Vybor gas station to look for a jerry can. Didn't find one...

So I dumped Fred in a bush and logged out while I went to cook some food IRL. When I logged back in I instantly got mZLY was killed and my character did the dying animation. Nothing new, just abort and join a different server. I'll be back on the coast but on the bright side I'll probably find a jerry can on my journer...

But no... I reconnect to this...

Everything gone. All the weapons mentioned above, coyote backpack, all basic tools, med supplies, water bottles and meat. And to top it all off, my hunger and thirst icons are red.

Fuck my life.

tl;dr - I was fucking the game in the ass, then it shat all over my dick.

That sucks man, I was truly gutted! Has there been a definite answer to what causes it yet? I'd like to avoid it in future if possible...

I think I'm gonna try Lingor Island for a day or two before I bite the bullet and try to get geared up again, lol.
