Recommended Posts

FIX for Battleye all versions - Kicked client not responding - SOLVED.

By changing the router settings.... YES inside the router settings. Encapsulation - LLC or VC MUX

Change the encapsulation from VC MUX to LCC

This has solved weeks of not being able to connect to all servers with battleye for more than 30 seconds.

Can a mod Please make a STICKY post of this.

I would suggest making it more detailed for newbies. It looks very messy in it's current state.

For help with your individual modem try http://portforward.com/ to at least get into the settings.

It took me weeks to get this working and I installed Arma2 and 3 different mods about 9 times so I have done enough for now.

What modem do you have? some of the "better" modems have a LOT of setting. Some of the basic ones don't and some have expert setting which need to be enabled within your modem. This fix worked for a lot of people i know 100% and every time, we tested it out turning it on and off etc.

My modem was already set on LLC. I tried changeing it to VC MUX and it did nothing.

Im in australia, QLD. I dont know if it is a proplem more common in my state.

I had some luck with some youtube videos showing differnt things, They only bought me afew more minutes in game at best.

Im just about ready to drop dayz. Nothing I do has made significant improvement. I may just forget about it until a standalone version comes to market.

I would seriously try a friends modem first. I'm in Oz also and I have a high end billion modem/router. Also try to update your modem firmware.

The belkin you have Scavenger looks like it has advanced setting,. check out the manual. http://cache-www.belkin.com/support/dl/MAN_F7D8302_v1_8820-00700_Play_N600_N_Router.pdf

Since doing this we have had no issues and can be on for hours +

I'm on iinet and I am currently using their iiNet branded BoBLite and the setting menu is located as below,

After logging into your modem settings page.

Normally this is one of the following depending on brand of modem.

http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.1.254 or http://192.168.1.100 or http://10.1.1.1 or http://10.0.0.1 or http://10.0.0.2

If you cannot get in then try this link http://portforward.c...routerindex.htm for more info on you brand of modem.

5. Advanced Settings

5. Internet setup & ADSL standard

Wan Configuration number --- Ethernet or VPI/VCI --- Encapsulation --- Protocol in use

one -------------------------------- 8/35 ----------------------- LLC ---------------- PPPoA

Then I click on the one which takes me to the modem menu where you enter your ISP user name and password.

WAN configuration number 1

7. Encapsulation - LLC or VC MUX

Pick LLC and then make sure you save the settings and after then reboot the modem.

You probably should have mentioned that LLC and VC MUX are only for people using PPPoE, so it's useless for 90% of people out there since they won't have the setting.

Wrong, I always run PPoA and after changing to LLC Battleye started working as soon as I rebooted the modem. Edited by MrCyberdude

There doesn't seem to be a way to change the PPPOA setting on a thomson modem hmmm....

I did try something else last night and now my game works flawlessly. See my post on http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/92245-server-battleye-client-not-responding/

It is the most recent reply to the topic (As of 9/12/12 AUS TIME) and it may or may not work for you.

Yours Sincerely

Tureri
