Questions about DayZ, not sure if right forum

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I haven't bought Arma yet because I thought it was a pretty big price for Arma II and Arma: OA, but then I saw that Combined Ops is a cheaper bundle... however, a lot of people I know are waiting for the standalone version. Should I wait and buy the standalone version... and if I buy Arma now... will it be compatible with future generations of DayZ? or is the standalone going to be compatible with Arma III?

Sorry if this doesn't make much sense but if someone could answer these questions that would be awesome :D

Wait for standalone, DayZ Game will not use ArmA 2 or 3, that's why it's called standalone

OP, you can use the free version of ARMA 2 and just purchase the Operation arrowhead game if you choose, the graphics won't be as nice but that's about it.

Don't wait for standalone, there is no confirmed release date. If you want to play, buy it. It is good value for money.

I was actually looking for the Arma II Free version, maybe I'm stupid, but I don't think its on steam anymore...

I purchased CO from steam for £14.99 when the offer was on but i would of paid the £24.99 price it currently is..

If you want to play it just get it! Its very much worth £24.99.

DayZ Will be it's own game, and in no way connect with any of the arma games.
