I'm shooting on sight now!

Recommended Posts

I was just in Electro and I retreated in to the church. I heard some shotgun fire near the church and I sent multiple friendly messages and he didn't reply. he came charging in to the church with a group of zombies behind him. I started to nail them and he just shot me twice then he got killed by zombies. From now on I'm just shooting first like everyone else.

Whatever.

We all go through this.

If your looking for PvP, shoot on sight.

If you're a survivor, learn to avoid people.

If you need to make contact, use a Mic.

So either join the bastards or grow a spine and stand by your convictions.

That is a very good point and PVP adds a whole other dimension to this game. However if all 40/40 people are simply playing a big team deathmatch the game would becoming very boring indeed.

"I was in Elektro"

"I typed"

Not everyone is friendly, and a very slim margin of people in Elektro are friendly.

Typed chat has a very short radius, and I'll be honest, is very inefficient, and easy to miss when training zombies around.

You saw him, why would you take refuge in a building with only one way in and one way out if you didn't expect to be murdered. A sitting target is much easier to hit than one that's running away and weaving between buildings....

I agree, everyone has different motives in this game. Some people could help you while others will gladly hack you to death and take your Frank and Beans. Play how you play, Anon.

And right there is when you should have got your gun out and aimed at the door and shot anything that came in. Your mistake which I'm sure you won't repeat again.

Welcome to DayZ!

Yeah my mistake, I suppose I was a little naive to suspect he would be friendly. It's the first time I've died and lost a significant amount of loot. I quite enjoy getting it back again though! The only players I've met have been friendly so I suppose I was off guard

so i ask the question ???

why so easily would you join the ranks of the KoS kiddies ???

stand by your humanity and avoid the situation or simply continue to be the beacon of light in the apoc..

or i guess you can do like almost everyone who plays Dayz these days and just kill everything that moves..sad days indeed

Read his post again he was trying to chat to the guy in direct comms and got no response. The lack of a response was as good as the guy answering "no not friendly" and a death was inevitable. I'm no kos either I've let plenty of unarmed survivors carry on there way. But I see somebody who is armed and coming my way then yes they are going down. Edited by trichome

Use a mic. I personally never have time yo check the chat box.

Still say friendly, but if they don't reply THEN presume they are hostile!

DayZ is a dead mod anyway, do as you please. WarZ will top this game. + What kind of a developer states that he will update the game "like Notch (the developer of minecraft, known for updating the game very slowly). I don't support this game anymore and to be honest I give it a month or two more to die down. Sorry but this game is twice as broken as it was 1-2 months ago, and the developer seems to give no shits.

I don't understand why people feel so entitled yet everything they were given was completely free of charge.

Given all the problems the mod is facing, mostly cheat-related, and how many people are willing to put up with it is a good indicator of how successful the mod is (and most likely will be). From personal experience, my hundreds of hours played seem to suggest otherwise considering that I am still enjoying myself and my guess is that I'm not the only one.

Did I mention that I got hundreds of hours (and counting) of entertainment for free?
