Hackers basically own any server they want now.

I just tried to login to NZ04. I logged in and my character was where I left him after fully gearing up in Cherno. About 5 seconds later I was teleported and killed.

The weird part was after that, I made a new character, and spawned on an island with lots of other people who had obviously been killed as well.

There was two crates full of weapons, but the hacker killed us all before anything happened.

So... how can a hacker control where other players spawn? It struck me that hacker basically own any server that they log into if they have this kind of power. How is this not priority one to fix?

Do you not know of the other HUNDRED of threads about this? I'm really sick and tired of the whiners about hackers as much as the hackers themselves. Jesus Christ, we know, there are hackers. No one truly gives any fucks.

Of course you'll find hackers on NZ/ANZ/AU servers.

Sounds relatable to The Hunger Games: Everyone on a island (forest), alot of good stuff at the beginning, and it's a big mental test. Call me crazy, but I think that would be fun.

Because Rocket is too busy promoting his game and too busy working on Standalone to give a shit about alpha/beta anything before Official Release.

I have been dieing to hackers all week. Almost ever NZ server has a hacker. I must of died 15 times to hackers ( and escaped more via alt f4).

You went on the wrong server.. If a server is utilizing the new tools BIS has given us then most cheaters are kicked the instant they attempt to execute a script.

Correct. And that reason is the fact that BattleEye isn't under Rocket's control. He didn't choose it to be the cheat-"protection" for his mod. There was no other choice to be made.

Did the separate launcher make you forget that DayZ is in fact a mod? BattleEye has been a part of ARMA 2 ever since it was released in 2009.

Stop hating on the posters who call out for hacking to be stopped.

Hacking is more rampant in this game's BETA (it ain't no Alpha at this point folks... no matter what they tell us) than in any other internet game I've played to date (that's over twenty three years worth of internet gaming folks).

The hacking situation won't be "solved". THERE IS NO SOLUTION to hacking. Of course, it will help destroy the majority of it, but not all.

Also, Rocket can't put the mod into a game/into standalone right now. Therefore, he barely can do anything to stop the hacking.

There are SUPPOSED to be hundreds of posts like these. In a working community, the more pressure you put on the developers, the more likely they are to do something about it.

Saying that Rocket can't do anything is BS

Detecting teleports is as easy as it can get, it took me less than a day to write a simple tool that freezes my position / teleports me back and disconnects when i get teleported

it would be a matter of minutes for rocket to implement this since he actually has access to the source

That is easily bypassed.

Bad admins can be bypassed. There is no hiding the execution from server side logs. The only stuff we can't see are real DX based ESP and aimbots. Their the external map got detected within hours :D Why don't you enlighten us though.

HAckers love DayZ because it is very popular and easy to break, once the stand-alone is released the mod will see less heat from script-kiddies, they will move on with the majority to something else. Once the mod has been taken as far as it can be Rocket will open it up and allow people to host real private servers and to even mod the mod themselves, this will then sort the issue out concerning the mod once and for all.

There, it's already fixed, it will just take some time to happen, not because people are "lazy" or they don't "care" but because this is the only solution and you're just going to have to suck it up and wait.

DayZ is a great game but if the current problems are too much for you then play another game for a while, there are plenty of great ones out there. You survived the begining of the year not even knowing a game like DayZ existed, you can wait a few more months for it to calm down without it killing you....

Can't really enlighten you about how to bypass the script detection, since I've never done it.

All I know is that one of my friends used to hack, and it didn't seem like a problem to him.

And even if I -did- tell you, I'd get a warning point / banned from the forums if I discussed how to bypass the system.

Key there was "used to hack".. They're done for now. With the tools BIS has given us, and the tools our community is developing we have the upper hand now. They can teleport, but we can see them move easier then ever now. They execute anything bypass or not we see it.. They inject items into lefit *.sqf and we can see it.. They get kicked before the first crack of Thunder. BIS, BE, and our community is doing ok ATM.

They'll always be cheats but the rampant disruptions seems to be over.

Touché. Used to hack, because he got banned. I won't defend him just because he's a friend.

But here's a fun fact I can (hopefully) safely say; You don't need a .sqf to execute a script.

yes we do, and not talking about these problems, NOT describing what happened does not help. just stop posting in these reads, it's redundant and does not add anything worthy to it. see those threads simply as reports. and if you don't like to hear about hackers, maybe because you do it yourself, then just don't read them.

There are SUPPOSED to be hundreds of posts like these. In a working community, the more pressure you put on the developers, the more likely they are to do something about it.

You'd have to be brain dead to think that Rocket isn't aware of issues like this or doesn't care. Oh.
