DayZ Addiction?

Recommended Posts

I've been practically living in Chernarus for a month now. My Steam counts over 100 hours of survival attempt time. That's almost 4h of play per day (and I work). I don't go out at weekends anymore, only surf of the internet for DayZ videos and news, I am barely sleeping... and when I do I dream with Z'ds. I spend all time planning my movements on Chernarus and I can't get enough of the game.

I think I might be overdoing it...

So, how do you guys deal with your DayZ addiction?

I go on a large massacre by both driving over people and blowing them up.

I then stop for a while.

LOL

I know its really bad :)

I once had been playing for hours, planning all my moves and doing it really carefully, then Sundaynight 1am i get killed.... I have to go to work tomorrow morning argg, i can't sleep with a just slaughtered character, so i started again fresh and i was not able to go to bed until i had some good loot again, well it was 5 am before i really could stop and laydown a little.

Adictive, NO.........

I try to broaden my horizons (and those of others - ask them) when in-game, since every day is incomplete without a Z. I've simply offered myself to the wilderness and I have quickly come to love it.

Not that it doesn't benefit from a little 'zazz' - so I bring fashion tips, wildlife correspondence and now my new nightclub in Cherno to the mix - which all help to relieve the ennui of post apocalyptic life.

I moved to sixth launcher at 72 hours on Steam I think, but I have well over 400 hours now in DayZ.

I also play min. 2 hours per day from mon to fri. And on weekends 5 hours min. per day.

At work I surf the forum. And after being a nice survivor and a camp settled i'm just for the PvP (real threads). Not those douches that kill spawners.

Time to time an innocent survivor tho.

Around 250 hours, and I'm bored of it.

Well, I think if I would play any game this often I would've been bored a long time before you. :P

I play like 5 hours a week since a month.

I've just started, and if it's as addicting as I think it is, and it can keep me here for more than 2 weeks (after 2 weeks I usually quit pretty much any game.), I'm impressed. All I know is that I played for a few hours, and it's 2:30 AM here in Norway now, and I can't stop thinking about it.

~100 hours for me... I keep it interesting by saying that every time I die, I take a break for a couple days then go on a bloody rampage through cherno or elektro with some low end shit.
