Tired of spawned weapon's

I'm just very disappointed with the amount of spawn weapon's I come across...

In this one case: My friend shot a gillie suited guy next to a light house, I go down there to find that he was equipped with the following.

L85A2 AWS Extremely Rare (In inventory with 5 clips)

M4A1 CCO SD Very Rare (In bag) Had ammo

AS50 Very Rare (In bag) Had ammo

PDW Rare (side arm (did not take a look at the amount of clips))

These weapons range to Extremely rare - to Rare to find and to think he was laying down right next to a lighthouse (outside Elektro), also his inventory was filled with meat and just Pepsi can's with a few medical supplies and the best equipment such as

Night Vision Goggles/

Range Finder

On that same server I have seen ammo crates in the middle of the road with

2xAS50

right next to the ammo crate.

My main point is that is there any future updates going to stop the spawning of weapons? it really ruins the fun for everybody. (FYI Like I pointed out this is one case of coming across spawned weapon's).

Maybe in the standalone version they could make different weapons depending on what's happening in the lore of dayz.

Yes, the rare weapons are not so rare anymore. But most of them are duped, not spawned in.

Even i have accidentally duped weapons. i moved my tent 300m last week. i had few weapons in it, some food and med supplys. 2 days ago i went to check my camp, and my tent was there, took some stuff and started running in the direction my tent was before. And there was a tent, where i moved from. Tent had exactly the same items in it, that i took out.

So the server spawned back the tent + items. now i have 2 of everything.

I think this is the biggest reason, why we have soo many rare weapons/items around.

You do realize that if you travel to the northern edges of the map you'll probably find all of this stuff within 2-3 hours at most

exactly. there have been a lot of people complaining about "spawned in weapons" or that "x weapon is too OP" and all these complaints come down to 1 thing. duping. the rarest items in the game now are all over the place, making them common items now. everyone has an as50, ghillie, nvg, rangerfinder, l85, etc. i really wish there would be a hive wipe + tents removed till the duping is fixed(and if im not mistaken its been said that it cant be fixed till the standalone.)

yeah the rare weapons are now more common than the common ones, (found about 8 AS50's in the last few lives, but only 1 CZ500)

everyone is right, its all down to duping and not all of it is on purpose, wouldn't be the first time i've been stocking my tent up, emptied my bag, turned around, checked bag... everything still in it and there is a copy of it all still in the tent.

The survival element is slowly fading and it's now just turning into a PvP power-trip... but im not complaining, i think its fun :)

Naturally gear will come around to players, I think of it as a cycle but spawned/dupped are disrupting this cycle

The cycle: Brief summary

In this case: Start off > get low tier gear > move to city > get mid tier gear (finding some rare item's) > die to low tiered geared player > low tier geared player moves up to mid tiered geared player

^{I'm just pointing out that player's gear will cycle around to players (due to player's dying) unless the player who is looting the dead body has already better gear and hide's the body thus destroying the items which stops the cycle of that particular loot. Spawned weapons/dupped weapons are making the cycle more quick or overflowing the cycle with very rare weapons making them common.}

thts pretty much what happens anyway, but the amount of lesser skilled players running about with high tier weapons is silly, and as soon as they are killed someone then aqquires these high tier weapons, buuut the guy that just died runs to a tent, picks up what he had and the cycle continues.

Unless duping can be stopped this pattern of events will never change, personally i dont mind, i usually have an Enfield for about 10 mins till i find some geared to the teeth n00b camping in the Elektro hills, then im the one geared to the teeth skipping happily up North away from kill Central.

Basically there is nothing we can do about it, i mean be hardcore and just use the low > mid tier weaponry, but then you will get mugged by everyone who has an AS50 and LA85...

Pretty much, Just before we shot a gillie suited guy running to Electro in the open (as if he did not care for his life or he is the biggest noob in DayZ), he had AS50 on his back... just show's these players don't care if they die because it will take they minutes to get this gear back

yup, in the last month or so i've seen this trend increase ten fold, but hey, if you are patient you can normally track these guys movments and just keep hitting them as they try to get back to their camp witch we are totally not raiding with the Ural we found.....

So the guy found a helicopter and you assume he obviously hacked? My friend and I found 5 helicopters last night.. Found 2 mko 4 L85 2 fn fal 1 bizon. 2 ghille and 2 camo... Not to mention the 21 clips of stanag ammo and 4 belts for the mko.

Oh and 1 as50..

All of which was found in about 7 hours of playing

So maybe he was legit?

Also you strike me as the guy who gets killed running through the forest then jumps on the forums claiming a hacker killed you

well i dunno, i had all that stuff once, before 1.7.2.4, infact it was a while back... before duping really caught on and before script kiddies began their adventure to the dark side... and it took a LONG time to get an LA85 and an AS50, never had the PDW but Had the M9SD.

took me a further 3 days to find rangefinders and a week to get GPS, had it all together for about 2 hours till i got killed... nowadays it really is only hackers and dupers that carry all that stuff.... very few players legitamitly gain all these things in one life and the ones that do are wise enough to stay hidden from anything...

Trick to getting high end gear with minimal risk is by joining low pop servers or night servers and doing nwa runs or if you are fortunate enough to have a vehicle looking for choppers.

This is true, probably the best and the lowest risk way of getting the high tier loot, again it all comes down to play style, and of course how bad the artifacts are, i havn't been near an airfield in weeks, Cherno, Starry and Berezhino are pretty much off limits too, as soon as thats fixed though i shall have a ball raiding all these lovely spots... and no doubt get killed many times in the process!

weapon inflation due to excessive duping and spawning.... there needs to be a fix for duping at least (hacking can't be fixed, face it) and a complete reset of all characters/tents/vehicles

I have never found an L85, AS50 or a Rangefinder at a legit loot spawn. yet it only takes me about 1 hour to get all these items. why? because every fucking douchbag cherno sniper and his dog has them ... and if there is no sniper to kill around just look for a camp... talk about immersion...

I know where most camps on my server are, takes me 15 to 30 minutes after I respawned to get a Ghillie+Coyote Backpack+AS50 / L85 combo+GPS, rangefinder, NVG and all other tools + antibiotics, blood bags, morphine, drinks and food.

I don't even bother having my own camp.

This game totally has a post-apocalyptic feel to it.

There's scripting and duping but as mentioned before, players keep hold of super rare drops. Junk or middling weapons get discarded all the time, but the rare stuff never dies. Unless the server shits the bed and wipes your stuff, the epic loots are going to keep doing the rounds and added to.

PDW is freaking common I've found heaps of them in the barracks since I started playing, the m4a1 CCO SD I have found about 5 of (lost all of them from one thing or another) and AS50's I have found 0 heli sites for me seem to only ever have bizons and m249's

as for NVG and rangefinders found 2 range finders and gotten 2 NVG from legit bandits who I think may have duped (though not sure)

Eventually, all of this high end gear will get into everyone's hands even without duping because good loot never disappears, it just keeps getting circulated through the servers. Resetting the server is a good way to slow this down for now. Fixing the dupes may have an unknown effect on this problem. The real issue is, we don't know exactly how much of this loot is duped and how much of it is simply honestly earned loot that was destined to find its way into a bandit's hands.

Fixing duping or resetting the server is a good start, though.
