Us 2061 - Banned for too high ping

Recommended Posts

I am connecting to DayZ servers from mainland china, and most if not all EU servers are out of my reach, they normally automatically kick me for too high ping.

Today I joined my 7 day regular server, in which I have a tent filled with goodies as well as some vehicles, it was just started up and the only player in the game was the admin, I joined and shortly after I got kicked without a reason stated.

a couple minutes after I notice there is no admin on the server but a handful of regular players, I join in to notice a message on the chat log stating that another player got banned for too high ping, shortly followed by my own kick and ban for too high ping.

This is a screenshot:

I don't think admins are allowed to ban for too high ping, especially when I've been playing on this server for 7 days with the same ping and nothing happened, and I'd like to recover the contents in my tent, if possible

Hello there

Your best bet is to try to contact the Admin directly, is there a clan/squad website/forum?

Many admins regularly ban for high pings as it can adversely affect other players performance.

Lastly, as one often hears in the forums, never get attached to your gear. Remember we are in a test phase and many things will change not least of all a complete loot wipe.

thank you for your response, apparently I must contact "my mom" since that's the hoster of the server.

to the 2nd replier, that doesn't matter, I had the same ping (200+ ms) for 7 days straight, I had been playing for long enough as to prove not to be a hindrance to the server performance, so unless something changed (admin ran out of money for bandwidth) I see no reason for banning people at random when they are within the battleye automated ping kick threshold.

but hey, it´s not my server, and gear is volatile, so I don't think I'll bother much more with this.
