Will tents ever be fixed?

You can always roll back to 1.7.2.4, use your tent/store items on a server running that version, then update again.

Yay. I'm a lucky man, then. I've pitched my first tent today and even after the 1st restart, everything was still there.

But I'm still curious about what will happen next.
