Banned on US 500 GET TO DA CHOPPA

So, I'll try to set this up. At least a week ago me and some group members were playing on this server. We were camping Cherno behind the apartments. There were three guys on the tallest building with the letters on it. I sniped two of them, one of my group members sniped the third. After that, some random person was banned from the server because "you can't use the AS50 at night." Exact words from what I remember. I remember that event vivdly, and it was a half or full moon night. I had my gamma and brightness all the way up, and I don't need to tell you guys what that's like. After that message popped up, my friend who got the last kill heard someone walking behind him and talking in direct. He turned, nothing there. Turned around again and he was shot dead.

A couple days later, we log into the same server to raid the hopsital and apartments in Cherno. As we were exiting the apartments, a guy with a ghillie was running down from the sniper hill north of the apartments. We killed him, logged off and that was that. I haven't played on the server since.

Fast forward to today. One of my group members regularly plays on the server because it has "epic load times" and is usually low pop. He found another ATV while driving his around, and I was the only guy on our TS channel at the time, so I volunteered to come get it. I try logging into the server, and I get a message that says I was banned for Cheating/Hacking. It's only on that server so it's not a global ban by BE (at least I think that's the way it works), so I can only assume this is a delayed ban for sniping those guys in Cherno that one night.

So yea, that's pretty much it.

4. The ban message definitely said, "You can't use an AS50 at night."

5. You were probably one of the people I sniped and just couldn't take it.

BTW, this server got hacked again today according to one of my group members, so GG I guess. Keep wasting your money paying for servers you have no control over.

I was pretty sure you were Lord Nikon when I sent you the pm the other day after seeing this thread, and you confirmed this. Notice how yours was the first name on my list. Fun Fact for the Peanut Gallery: Lord Nikon is a character from the movie Hackers, so named for his photographic memory. Now, I don't have a photographic memory, but I remember people when they're fairly nasty to me in the lobby.

(The legitimate M4A1 with a holo and GL is this one: http://dayzdb.com/database/m4a1-holo, note the lack of suppressor. I'm not inclined to believe you were unaware of this however, most people who have been playing for 3+ months know the guns by then.)

This is what you were banned for, I don't know who you shot in Cherno. Further I don't care who you shot in Cherno. That's the point of the game for some people. We don't ban people for shooting people, or for no reason at all. We don't like having to ban people. It's paperwork that keeps us from playing the game. It doesn't make us feel good. We don't ban for these guns off the bat even, without at least attempting to speak with the player first. All you had to do to keep playing here was come clean with the gun and get rid of it when asked, like most people do. They don't want to cheat. You chose not to, and were angry that I had caught you, unless I miss my mark. You logged out with your hacked-in gun and I banned you. That's SOP. At that point we can only assume that you do not intend to play within the scope of the mod.

You also jumped straight to this in your earlier reply to my pm: "If you have the log of me using a scripted gun, please post it, as I'd love to see it." (And for the record I already had posted this.) I never said what you'd been banned for during our pm conversation, though I did list three other banned usernames after yours and then the four reasons for the bans, these in no particular order. This was the only one you addressed. Kind of telling that you knew exactly why you got banned in your pm'd response to me, yet you completely fail to mention any of this here, in your "ban appeal".

Where does this even enter into it? No one's accusing you of being a deadeye at retardedly long ranges for an LMG. He was giving an example I assume, of something he has banned people for in the past on his server.

This something is obviously guns that aren't in this mod. Like the one you had. Like an M249TWS or an AS50TWS. See, there's a precedent for this.

No one has been banned with this reason given. If I ban someone it says plain old "cheating/hacking" because I use that drop down menu selection when it comes to the reason for their ban. I don't think a reason that long will even fit in the field provided. I put more exact details, like those chunks of log up there, in the file I keep for quick reference. According to your initial post the above "ban message" pertained to some "random person" that was banned. Who was this random player that was banned if you remember it so all so well? How is this relevant to your ban appeal? If you were paying such close attention to the server messages that you can definitively tell me I typed in something I know I didn't, why did I have to direct message you repeatedly to try and get you into the lobby so we could address the scripted-in gun that you claim to have never picked up? Because you were busy coming up with the same hackneyed excuse as all the other players who use hacked in guns knowingly, then get caught, but still refuse to 'fess up and play straight?

5. You were probably one of the people I sniped and just couldn't take it.

We don't ban or kick for things that happen within the scope of the mod if that's what you're implying with this statement. Other servers might do that, but the goal here is to have a legit place to play for everyone. Legit DayZ play includes getting shot by people. What it does not include is M4A1HWSGLSDs and other guns that are hacked into the mod.

BTW, this server got hacked again today according to one of my group members, so GG I guess. Keep wasting your money paying for servers you have no control over.

Almost as if you are saying 'See what you get for not letting me have my way.' Interesting to note that the two hack attacks come the day after you got called out for the gun and then again the day after you discover you're banned for it, and that those are the only major attacks we've suffered in the past week and a half.

As for your "appeal"; you basically chose to be banned. You were combative about the gun when approached. You were given an option to either stay without it and enjoy "epic load times" like your friends, or leave and not play here. You left. You completely fail to mention in what I hesitate to call a ban appeal, the actual reason why you were banned. Even though you knew why you were banned from the server when you first posted here. The fact that you're here in the same thread as your appeal gloating over the server being hacked (at least once a day now since you posted here) only further cements my opinion that you're connected with the recent attacks.

TL;DR:

1. I know your in game name. It was my first guess. You've confirmed this.

2. You had a gun which does not naturally spawn in the mod, the M4A1_HWS_GL_SD_Camo. This is ultimately why you were banned. Check your loot tables again.

3. Accurate statement, yet irrelevant to the discussion.

4. Nope. All the bans I have personally issued have cheating/hacking as the reason. I don't think "You can't use an AS50 at night." even fits.

5. Don't know who you shot, don't care. People kill people. We don't ban people for shooting people fair and square with legit guns. We do ban people for hacked guns.

You've not been straight with your "ban appeal". Why should I unban you?

1. You were not pretty sure of anything. You gave me a list of 4 names.

2. I've only come across two M4A1 Holo's since I started playing (one SD, one non-SD), both came from dead player bodies. When I found the non-SD version (like a month and a half ago), I checked the wiki, it was there. I assumed this was an ultra rare version, guess I was wrong. Regardless, that log you posted is not proof of me scripting anything in, only merely having it in my inventory. Rocket himself has stated you cannot get banned for picking up a scripted weapon.

Also, UZI SD mags = PDW SD mags. http://www.dayzwiki.com/wiki/PDW_SD_Mag. Found them in a tent city on another server.

3. I assumed rob was the admin given his post. My mistake.

4. Don't really care what you say, I saw someone get banned and the reason for it was exactly as I posted. What was their name? Who the hell knows? I only remember it because it came literally seconds after I sniped those two people and because the message itself is both funny and retarded.

LOL. "My server got hacked, and I banned you for having a scripted weapon (which I can't prove you actually scripted in). You're talking shit on me and my server, so you must have some friends continuing your legacy." Here's a tinfoil hat, wear it with pride. I know you got hacked because I already said in the PM, my friend who plays on your server everyday said, "The CHOPPA server was hacked today." I've already given you the names of my group members in the PM, and you can go right ahead and chock those logs of yours to find out they play on that server everyday. If I was a scripter and I had my buddies attacking your server for petty revenge, why would I give you their names?

TL;DR:

Unban me, keep me banned whatever. I honestly don't care. I wanted to get on that server to help move an ATV, that's it. For the future, though, if you ban someone for scripting, show proof of them actually scripting (because again, the terms you agreed to say you can't ban without proof).
