Daffyy2009 5 Posted August 14, 2012 so there are quite a few people who have been experiencing this problem where you join a new server with your current character and end up back on the coast......this is quite easy to fix.1. click the start button2. go to my documents3.click on arma 2 profiles not the folder titled arma 24. delete your profile(back it up first if you dont trust me)5. join game+ give me beans?6. from my experience you have to do this before you join a new game, but its better than spawning on the coast every time. Daffyy2009 5 Posted August 14, 2012 try that, its worked for me, i dont see why i should be punished for leaving a hacker server to join a non hacker one
Rollonio 54 Posted August 14, 2012 Spawning on the coast only happens to me after I try connecting to a server with a different version and get stuck on the loading screen. Next connect I'm on the coast
Buffjesus 357 Posted August 14, 2012 Spawning on the coast only happens to me after I try connecting to a server with a different version and get stuck on the loading screen. Next connect I'm on the coastwhen youre connecting to a server youre in the debug plains before being put into chenarusso if you DC while out in the plains the hive thinks that the last place you were at are the debug plainsso on your next log in you get put on the coast because of the update "players in the debug plains or water world can reconnect to be put on the coast"

teteiyusu 36 Posted August 14, 2012 Do you have to do this every time? Cause if so, that's not really a fix.
Mos1ey 6301 Posted August 14, 2012 I joined a game after failing a loading screen yesterday and it dumped me in Cherno. I d/c'd and didn't bother playing. If I do this you're saying I'll go back to my previous position?
danielreid 84 Posted August 14, 2012 Do you have to do this every time?Cause if so, that's not really a fix.Write a quick batch script that deletes the folder and then runs whichever app you use to launch DayZ - solved. :P
SmashT 10907 Posted August 14, 2012 (edited) This occurs when you abort/escape when stuck on loading and the reason most people get stuck on loading is because they are joining a server on a different version. If you are using sixlauncher, you are on 1.7.2.4, regardless of whether you updated or not, sixlauncher will overwrite your files with 1.7.2.4 because 1.7.2.5 is still a pre-release version.A temporary fix, if you know of a server that you have no problems joining is to alt tab when stuck on the loading screen, launch another game, it will ask you if you want to close the original, click no, join a server you know you have no problems joining, you should spawn in-game where you were supposed to, alt tab to the other dayz game stuck on loading screen and close it.Once sixlauncher and most servers update the problem will be significantly reduced, the main issue at the moment is half the servers are running one version, half another, everyone using sixlauncher is on the old version while everyone updating manually or via DayZCommander is on the latest.
