Rokor Fenix 143 Posted August 17, 2012 How long you have been playing?About 2 and a half monthsHow often do you play?Maybe 3-4 times a week. Why you have chosen that lifestyle?I assume you mean the way I play. I play by myself or with one friend, and we play very carefully and avoid contact. What drives you to play like that? The game doesn't seem to like to register my shots for some odd reason.A normal session in DayZ for you?Running.Has this game affected aspects of your real life? Not really. What made you choose DayZ?I saw someone on youtube playing it, it looked good and I got it.Why you play DayZ?Bored, and because it is fun.How you feel the team has done with the game?Could be better. Could be way worse. The impact of Hackers/ scripters?I don't think I have ever run into any. Will you be buying the stand a lone game?Perhaps.
Angryofficer 89 Posted August 17, 2012 (edited) .How long you have been playing: Since mid-may. Not sure what day but I started like 1-2 days after 1.5.7. came out..How often do you play: Very random. I used to play every day, now not so much..Why you have chosen that lifestyle: Also very random. Mostly I play as a bandit. Sometimes I play as a friendly. Sometimes I'll just dick around and do dumb stuff. If I'm playing on a sidechat server, I'll play friendly most likely. If not, bandit 100% of the time since my direct chat does not work..What drives you to play like that: Fun (friendly) And forced to (bandit).A normal session in DayZ for you: Every life of mine has some unique twist. Although it usually starts off with me getting weapons in cherno/elektro then heading to stary, then nwaf..Has this game affected aspects of your real life: No..What made you choose DayZ: Watched criken's livestream in may 5 Thought "This game looks incredible". Got arma 2 CO and installed dayz. The funny thing is, about 2-3 months before that I was thinking of a game pretty much exactly like this, but set in an urban area..Why you play DayZ: Because it's fun..How you feel the team has done with the game: Well, I guess..The impact of Hackers/ scripters: Only came across 3. Don't see the "I GET HACKED EVERY 2 MINUTES BUHHHH".If you have stopped playing or thinking of stopping, why: I've usually only stopped due to some boredom, or waiting for my friend to get on or something..Will you be buying the stand alone game: Yes. Orlough 3 Posted August 17, 2012 .How long you have been playingI have been playing the day z mod about 2 months now, maybe more..How often do you playAlmost 3 hours, every other day..Why you have chosen that lifestyleBecause it's summertime, and I have nothing to do outside of lacrosse/soccer..What drives you to play like thatFor fun and thrill..A normal session in DayZ for youGear up, extremely quick (good luck). Find bandits, die to them. Or don't find bandits head north, survive, decent loot, hunt bandits then die..Has this game affected aspects of your real lifeNot really..What made you choose DayZSurvival aspect, friends telling me about it..Why you play DayZ:Friends play it and the thrill of killing someone..How you feel the team has done with the game:I used to think they did an awesome job, but the hackers and lack of action is starting to make me feel differently..The impact of Hackers/ scripters:Gigantic..If you have stopped playing or thinking of stopping, why:Only reason that i've considered is the hackers after loosing good gear or having it happen multiple times in an hour. (Yes an hour.)Will you be buying the stand a lone game?Hopefully, if they fix battleye and stop the constant hacking.

MikaelM 45 Posted October 1, 2012 How long you have been playing?Phew, I think I started in June or July but don't nail me on that. How often do you play?I started out playing every day but after 1.7.2.5 my team stopped playing regularly. Now I'm usually logging in once a week unless I'm on medical duty. Why you have chosen that lifestyle?I have played FPS games in my past, so I was already used to the shoot-on-sight mindset. Despite that I chose to live as roaming medic, pacifist to the core, because the game lets me play this way. I firmly believe that there is more than just your kill and survival. You can meet interesting people and make friends you would have never met if you just shot them. I don't mind dying so I am one of a few who can play this way without regrets and bitching. What drives you to play like that?As aforementioned, I know how hard it can be sometimes to scavenge the high-end gear just to be taken out by some stranger who did not even have to shoot you. I want to establish trust between me and others, I want to believe that even in the worst outcome there would be some people still unwilling to throw away their kindness and ethics. This game is just a deathmatch if you let it be, so many have given up on being the good guys and create new aggression towards others. It's a vicious circle - unless we change it.A normal session in DayZ for youRunning across the map from one corner to the other in order to meet my patients, giving away my last can of food or soda despite my flashing icon. Or getting shot by people who I randomly meet and try to help. Nothing special.Has this game affected aspects of your real life?Has a game ever affected me in real life? I don't think so, after all it's just a game. I do not wonder whether society would crumble into chaos and people would turn into murderers. I do not change my lifestyle because it would not fit an apocalypse scenario and thus I would die quickly. What changed, though, is that I tend to find trucks in movies and think to myself: Oh, an Ural! What made you choose DayZ?The recommendation of friends and some LPs I watched. Also the premise of a hard and unforgiving zombie survival MMO.Why you play DayZ?Because it is fun and I like to meet new people, especially helping them. How you feel the team has done with the game?I think that rocket has made a fabulous mod, though some bugs are really annoying. Hacking is a serious problem, though the team can not do much about it. If the devs would be a more talkative in the forums regarding updates, status reports and suggestions, I'd be happy but I think they do the best they can do.The impact of Hackers/scriptersWell, what can you say about them? They ruined the game. Duping alone is already enough of a problem but it's hard to keep playing when you get teleported into mid-air and die shortly thereafter on every third server login. I still wonder how they can have fun with that. I mean, wouldn't it get boring after teleporting people around the map for the fiftieth time? Those people forgot the meaning of games: To compete and have fun with ordinary means. Cheating doesn't make you a better gamer, it just makes you a sad existence hated by both survivors and bandits. If you have stopped playing or thinking of stopping, why?Well, the problems we face are still the same: lack of end-game content, problems saving items in tents and vehicles, glitches, hackers etc.You can either go on a killing spree or help newbies at the coast but else there is nothing much to do. Even gearing up becomes pointless after you get the gist of it. The game is far too repetetive to keep you playing. Will I stop playing? One day, for sure. I just don't know when that will be.Will you be buying the stand a lone game?I consider it, to say the least. It all depends how good the standalone will protect us from scripters/hackers and if it will give us something more than just doing the same thing all over again - a bit of end-game content like defeating the Enderdragon in Minecraft is needed to keep us hooked. Whatever may come, DayZ has been one of the most interesting games/mods I have ever played. I seldomly felt so immersed into a game and I fear that will not change anytime soon.

IndyAM 48 Posted October 1, 2012 .How long you have been playing - Since June. How often do you play - 3 times/week usually for around 3 hours, mostly weekend afternoons. Why you have chosen that lifestyle - Bandit - Have AS50 & L85 & friends also have AS50's which we found in crashed heli's, no endgame makes sniping players in Elektro good fun..What drives you to play like that - testing our sniper skills, managed to kill a bandit and steal his AS50, and now starting to record for Youtube.A normal session in DayZ for you - Spawn on Sniper Hill - Check for other players on the hill - Check for zombies in Town - Kill players if there are zombies, move to a safer spot, find another server/wait it out.Has this game affected aspects of your real life - Hasn't, would be playing another game if it wasn't this one. What made you choose DayZ - good sandbox game. Why you play DayZ - relaxation. How you feel the team has done with the game - v. well so far!.The impact of Hackers/ scripters - sticking to low (less than 15) players means I hardly ever encounter them, we have met around 2-3 in as many months..If you have stopped playing or thinking of stopping, why - not yet!. EDIT - Will you be buying the stand a lone game - Yes
major.skrewup@gmail.com 177 Posted October 1, 2012 .How long you have been playingsince about V1.3.How often do you playseveral hours a week if I can.Why you have chosen that lifestyleinsuffecient penis size and not enough hugs. What drives you to play like thatsee above, cunt..A normal session in DayZ for youspawn inload my sd mag into the l85put it over to thermalrape and kill anything with a pulse (the last 2 done in varying order).Has this game affected aspects of your real lifethe *mod* has shown me that the only real way to survive a catastrophic event is to kill the survivors,I have spent days trawling the city for sniper nests and the like, when the time comes I'll turn city blocks into killzones, if I dont kill people, other people will kill them and that would be an insult to my little penis..What made you choose DayZI didnt choose dayz, it chose me.Why you play DayZcos last time I tried to kill a man in "real life" I served time. dayz taught me first law and order must be gotten away withsuch as in a natural disaster, then I can do as I please. How you feel the team has done with the gamepretty amazing how much they have done with the crappy arma 2 engine. The impact of Hackers/ scripterswhen the real life goes to shit, they will be the first people we eat.If you have stopped playing or thinking of stopping, whyN/a. Tabris07 159 Posted October 1, 2012 .How long you have been playingFor a few months now..How often do you playIt varies depending on my free time..Why you have chosen that lifestyleI used to mind myself in the woods far away from another survivor. Now I try to join up with peopleand kill the ones I don't make friends with..What drives you to play like thatI find it more fun to interact with other players, and I don't trust the ones who run up on me unannouncedwhile pointing a gun at me, so if they don't shoot first, they tend to die..A normal session in DayZ for youSpawn in a private server. If it has side chat, I will try to make friends with everyone at the same time.Gather supplies and arm myself.Meet up with the people I have been talking with, and kill the people I have not..Has this game affected aspects of your real lifeSometimes while I'm out I'll spot a building that looks like one in DayZ and feel a sudden urge to go loot it..What made you choose DayZRoosterTeeth posted a video on YouTube showing it off (a much earlier version)which led me to search for other gameplay videos, and it ineterested me somuch that I bought Arma II that day and installed the mod..Why you play DayZI play DayZ because other games I own just don't give me the same experience that DayZ does..How you feel the team has done with the gameI think they've done an amazing job. Much better than anything I would be able to do..The impact of Hackers/ scriptersI've met some hackers, but luckily haven't had an experience that ruined the game for melike other players..If you have stopped playing or thinking of stopping, whyThe only reason I would have is that I don't have the time..Will you be buying the stand a lone gameMost definitely.
