Tent items disappearing

Hello I keep placing items in my tent and clicking 'save' on it yet when I log off and come back on they aren't there, does anyone know why?

I think it's an issue with 1.7.2.5, also vehciles keep respawning

Tents are still buggy, it's best to wait until a fix or update has been released before you put trust in a tent.

Did you test by placing an item in your tent, saving and logging off and then coming back right away to see if items have disappeared?

If not, there is an option that someone had found your tent and destroyed it with all its items, but after server restart the tent might reappear, but with no items. Another possibility is that you found the tent from someone who was using exploit by duplicating tents and sometimes those duplicated tents don't save items. Also I heard that owner of tent must save over if someone else is also adding stuff in the tent, to prevent items from being deleted if the server is reset.

It seems you must be careful with tents you find from not normal loot places, just test if the save work properly on them, before putting anything valuable in there.

Hi! I pitched a tent in the middle of a big forest, outside the crowded areas. Filled my stuff in there, saved, and went on to the next loot. A day later, my tent was empty, and a second tent was pitched right next to it (empty, too). Did someone find it, and flipped me of with an obsolete tent? (which is hard, because you actually have to know where it was, and even then I had to search a thick brush, to find it again?)

Its one of the smaller servers with usually far less than 10 players. Is it useful to wait for a server restart, or is my stuff just gone? I can pack in both tents (one I did definitly NOT pitch). Shortly after the server stopped. Check it as "alpha state"?

It would have definitly some style, but it is extremely unlikely for someone to find it! I had to search for it again, and I knew where it was!

Additionally: I could pack in both tents, but normally just the pitcher can do that...

That is kind of weird. Sounds like the tent duped. Which would be the cause of the disappearing gear from what I have read. Can't say for sure though as I just found my first tent yesterday, after 100 hours of game time.

tents not that hard, i've found them many times. But in this case no it's not robbed. Happened to me few days ago. Your gear disappeared when server restarted, also, your tent was placed to every place you tried (even if it was a failure) after a server restart.

Does the stuff come back after some time? found an M14 the first time, and it was in the tent :(

I hope they release a fix for this, its getting really annoying, theres really no point of a tent when nothing saves :/

Wow Scheff^ I have the EXACT same story.

Pitched and loaded a tent on a low-pop server (4 players on at the time, and RL buddy was one of them)

Extremely well hidden, in obscure place in North-east.

Logged in 4 hours later, it was completely empty, and a second empty tent was pitched not far away.

Server still only had like 5 people on.

Tent was so well hidden under a tree, I couldn't even find it. Had to search area for 10-15 minutes

Maybe someone is turning off vegetation or running some other shithead script and finding them? or is it a glitch?

Anyway, I think I'm done playing until standalone.
