DaRT - A Lightweight DayZ (and ArmA) RCon Tool (v2.1 | 11/10/2015)

Recommended Posts

You mean in the console?

Last time I checked it worked fine, could you post a screenshot?

I meant to support Russian characters in order to be able to write to the Global chat in russian. Russian text is not displayed in the chat. For example in the program battleWarden RCon long made support for the russian language. We would appreciate it if you also do support the russian character.

Guys, this is one of the best admin tools out there. I seriously use it everyday. I am in NO WAY affiliated with DomiStyle, but I can tell he's put alot of work into giving us this free app AND offering free support. Why don't you throw a few bucks his way to support further software development? As they say, "Money talks, bullsh*t walks!".

BTW, I just donated! :D

Keep up the good work Domistyle!

Domistyle, i noticed the host list cannot save two hosts which have the same IP, and different ports. When you try to save them, it wipes the previous host with the same IP. Does this sound like something that you can implement? Thanks man :)

It should work with multiple ports.

Last time I checked it worked fine and I have many hosts in the list with multiple ports.

But I will take a look again and fix it if necessary.

Temporary fix for the people getting spammed by log entries:

Instead of using

2 ""

to log everything use

1 ""

to stop BattlEye from logging to RCon.

Still working on the next version with filter options.

Where exactly do I change this?

Hey Mate

Just popped on to say brilliant tool..

I use it for my 3 wasteland servers, never disconnects, auto reconnect after restart, brilliant!

just wondering if there are 2 things that you could do? Would it be possible to enable resizing the chat window, and could you check to see if auto scroll is working properly. If I turn it of as soon as an event happens in chat etc the scroll window goes straight to that point!

If you could somehow remove that, it would be perfect..

Thanks again!

Great tool been using it now for a good while and it gets better with every update! You sir are a baws :)

There's only one thing I'd like to see and I know it should be easy to implement. In the left tab have a Name Input and that name would get pasted every time you write in the chat.

Say:

Name: Modnamexy1

And in chat: [Modnamexy1]: Blabla blabla

That way I could give the tool to my mods as well and they are clearly identified for everyone to read.

v0.7 is out! Download it here.

It's on the todo list for some time already, never came by to do it.

Will try to get it in the next version.

Some more details please.

Will be in the next version.

I get a lot of 'failed to open event log file'

Is this normal?

Fixed in v0.7.

Go into settings and disable log errors.

DaRTBans

DaRTBans is a feature in the program that is currently in testing phase.

It currently allows you to report players to me which then will be assigned a reputation to their GUID.

With every report of the same user/GUID the reputation of the GUID sinks.

When the reputation is very low the GUID will get added to a ban list which will be provided to everyone. (for use, for example, with BEC)

The ban list will contain every bans issued by the DayZ staffs as well as all bans made by DaRTBans.

The system is already working but I don't do anything with the data yet to see how much I get.

If it seems useful and people are interested in the file I will make a public link to it you can use.

So keep reporting all the players under Player Database -> Report to DaRTBans.

I will add this feature to the regular ban dialog if it appears to be popular.

Feel free to send me a PM if you want your program to support DaRTBans too.

My goal would be to get many people to include it in their programs and to get many people to report hackers so we can have a huge database similar to http://mcbans.com .

I got no idea if this will succeed, but it is worth a try.

Am I missing something? I don't see this option on the Player Database tab.

And, Sync Database is there but greyed out. (maybe because I only have 1 server loaded?)

It is planned for a later update.

I am still working on getting the server done.

You can already report players and I am already parsing them but currently I do not provide the ban list.

edit: I already got over 2000 reports by the way, thank you goes to everyone who reports players.

Already got a few players who are banned by DaRTBans.

That's what I meant, I don't have a way to report players. I must have misread "So keep reporting all the players under Player Database -> Report to DaRTBans."

I took that to mean that the option was there, but I don't seem to have it.

I look forward to it though

It is there. It was moved to the ban dialog though if you ban a player you can tick the DaRTBans option to report players.

************** JIT Debugging **************

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

application or computer (machine.config) must have the

jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.

The application must also be compiled with debugging

enabled.

For example:

<configuration>

<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />

</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception

will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

rather than be handled by this dialog box.

That's the full log. It happens every time the close button is pressed, no matter what I do in DaRT.

DaRT continues to run after pressing the continue or quit button, but it is un-closable without killing the process in tskmgr.

Could you try using this?

http://forum.swisscraft.eu/DaRT/testing/DaRT_debug.zip

Also check if DaRT is still running after closing it.

I can't really recreate this problem but I would guess it's a access problem with the database since DaRT is unable to dispose the database when closing.

Hi DomiStyle!

Nice update! I think a lot of people (myself included) were hoping for a way to configure the Auto-connect time intervals (currently set to 0.1 seconds 2 times only). I noticed you added an Auto refresh interval setting but I never heard anyone say they wanted that feature. A lot of us have our servers set to auto-restart and with every restart, we have to manually click "Disconnect" and "Connect" to get Dart working again. Is there anything we can do about this?
