Has anyone else come to the point with the Mod where you are wondering what the point of playing anymore is ?

You've got the swanky kit and serious firepower, you've visited all the sites of major interest on the map. And when you've done that then the risk of getting killed and losing everything outweighs the urge to carry on playing.

But then what if you don't feel like that ? Does the Mod just become another FPS Deathmatch where folks shoot each other ? What ? What is there to do ? There is no longer any purpose.

The Mod for me can now be summed up as RUNNING AROUND THE WOODS LOOKING FOR PEPSI.

There must must must be much more to the mooted standalone version when it finally arrives.

Like for example mine are:

[x] Find and wear a ghillie suit

[ ] Kill 500 zombies in one life

[ ] Find and drink a Mountain Dew

[ ] Find reasons to keep IRL friends playing

[ ] Find a legitimate friendly

[ ] Find a server with admins who dont rollback the server every 5 minutes when they die/lose stuff

[ ] Actually get to keep a car for more than 2 days without it being found by hacks

[ ] Stop being so pessimistic on the forums

I remember playing for the first few times and i felt absolute terror, once you have good stuff it gets to a point where you have very little to fear from the game. It needs to be a constant struggle to survive, not just a struggle while you are starting out.

There's something deliciously annoying but also hilarious about stomping round the wilderness with a Coyote backpack, ghillie suit, sniper rifle + assault rifle + pistol, full medical supplies, and still jonesing for soda and beans because the loot gods haven't delivered you matches or any water bottles.
