US 1680 - Fully operational bus last scene at NW Airbase 8/9/12

Recommended Posts

*UPDATE*

The server is US 1680. Get that bus from those bandits.

Hi everyone.

A very well armed friend and I are at the NW Airbase at nighttime.

We were traveling south when we saw a parked bus with it's headlights on sitting near the southwest part of the airstrip. It has zombies spawning near it.

We've been watching it for half an hour. There are no signs of humans anywhere. However,

we think either its:

A.) A trap

OR

B.) Abandoned

It's a low population server. Maybe 7 to 10 people on at a time.

Should we move in a take it?

I once parked a car on the airport and put 2 satchel charges under it, the second someone came up to it i blew it up

Note: he has to be within 300 meters to blow it up remotely

We'll take that into consideration.

Trap, zombies wont spawn if there is nobody there, somebody is close by with their finger on the detonate button of a satchel charge.

I would... it could be a disconected player or such.. iwould be having a very hard look at the spots in over watch o it... and would be tempted to smoke the shit outta the area before taking(distracts zombies as well as obscuring.)

Ive been doing donuts on nw air field in a hilux and been DCed... and had stuff to do, that kinda thing does happen.

You realize the zombies are spawned by the player than came in contact with it first, if he came up on it and the zombies were clustered together, they would have just spawned.

I say, keep an eye out and try to search the area around the bus very carefully, dont move fast and always have two angles on everything, if it looks clear.....take it/sabotage it

Thanks. Dr. Stallardi and I will give an update as to what happened. There are some low yield buildings just to the southwest of the bus that we're going to clear.

Thanks a ton for the input guys.

Wish us luck!

Traveled the airfield, no one shot at us.

Either we got some very patient bandits that want the satisfaction only a satchel charge can give, or we're two idiots playing hide'n'seek with no one.

I'm having a little trouble deciphering your Engrish but I am assuming that you are saying this guy doesn't know how to distinguish between zombies that he and his friend have spawned or ones that an opponent has spawned?

Update:

After scouting the area for another hour or so, we declared it safe. We found parts for the bus and added them as we found them.

While searching up north in the airfield, we saw a few zombies running by, not disturbed by us. We ran into a warehouse and watched. I thought I saw a survivor (bandit) in the flight control building, so Dr. Stallardi and I wrapped around into the larger warehouse to the east. We watched for a few minutes, and I finally spotted two dead survivors in the stair case across the way. We crawled over to it and examined their bodies. A job well done! We somehow survived a bandit attack without doing anything.

We decided to head north again to search for our last tire, when the bandits struck.

4 or 5 shots later, Dr. Stallardi valliantly gave his life in order to protect me and our quest for the bus. I don't know how many of them there were, but god dammit, I'm going to log back on and avenge the good Doctor.

Wish me luck.

It's not a happy one, it's filled with people that ruin this awesome game. They downloaded DayZ deathmatch by mistake. They murdered us for no reason, they didnt even have enough respect to loot us. The bus was not a trap, but a few hours later whilst looking for the last wheel since ours glitched, we were spam sniped.
