The Problem With Saving Location

Recommended Posts

The saving of your location and gear upon leaving/entering any server running the mod is nice, but at the same time it is one of the many things exploitable to gain an advantage over other players.

Think about it. Let's say you're on a server with a bunch of people. A group of guys has a base set up with some vehicles, a stockpile of goods and a couple of goons guarding everything. Walking up to them in the open or trying to sneak around would be suicide with how good their security is.

But you can log out, find an empty server, get into the area where this team's base it set up at, log out, re-join the server where the people are, and kill them all from behind.

You can also gear up by doing much the same thing. Simply go into an empty server and start grabbing everything you can. I am just glad that vehicles do not save in this fashion, or it would go from being a zombie survival game to just a massive helicopter dogfight.
