A good way to hide a vehicle better

Add some sort of throw over to better hide parked vehicles.

My idae is to add a throw over (big camo sheet kind of like a gille suit but a big blanket to go over a car) that will hide your car a little better.

1. It can be found in high priority areas like runway (airfield)

2. Cant be used on a bus or heicopter because they are too big

There's some sort of camo mesh on arma (seen near military tents). It would be cool if that is added as an item we can pick up use over cars and camps, will make it harder for helis to find camps also.

It would only be effective if the camo was also hacker proof.. vechiles are easy enough to hide pretty well already, until a hacker just has all the vechiles on the map marked, then it doesn't matter what you've done..

This is a great idea. I mean, since this game is meant to be realistic, we should be able to keep our vehicles hidden while we have to log off. Since, in real life, we don't just "log off" for long periods while we sleep/eat/toilet/etc.

and people would get used to it and they would see it miles away

atm the only "safe" way to save a car is shootin its tyres and keep spare ones on u...

yesterday i fixed a pickup which took me 10 rl hours and today it was gone^^

u should be able to remove ur tyres so u don´t have to shoot them...

Seriously though, that camo netting is a good idea since no matter how well you hide a car from random survivors, that one team that has the heli can pick you out of the shrubbery like nobody's business. Done it myself while playing manhunt on a private hive. Vertical cover is a joke.

Camo netting that can be erected does exist in Arma 2, so it's only up to Rocket to allow it's use it.

This works very well, we had a Heli slide into the trees and whilst knocking them down with the Ural the Heli ended up being completely hidden by them, only thing is when the server restarts the tree's return to their original spot.

This is what we need, be able to take parts out of the car and keep them on you (spark plugs!) so that even if somebody finds your vehicle they have to work hard for it.

Hmm maybe some sort of horizontal mesh and the ability to remove vehicle parts like tires (not anything stupid like an engine unless it had a LONG animation). This way it would still mean you have to have some knowledge to hide vehicles so they wont be seen from the side, but it would be a lot harder to see from a heli preventing one clan from just flying over the map and getting all the vehicles. Although even if a guy on the ground did find your vehicle he would have to work hard to get parts for it. I feel this could help reduce hording of vehicle from independent player and even the playing field a little. Still I guess we will see what they do in the standalone and give more accurate feedback for that. And my server has restart so i will bid you good Day...Z

I would love to see it in the standalone. Wouldn't mind seeing it as a craft-able item for the reason of customization.

For an example, you'd have to find netting and then fuse plants and such from the surroundings of where you'll be hiding your vehicle. This will allow for better camo no matter where you hide it.
