Tyler_Sharp 16 Posted August 8, 2012 (edited) Add some sort of throw over to better hide parked vehicles. My idae is to add a throw over (big camo sheet kind of like a gille suit but a big blanket to go over a car) that will hide your car a little better.1. It can be found in high priority areas like runway (airfield)2. Cant be used on a bus or heicopter because they are too bigIf you like or dont like my idea please feel free to comment and add to my idea. wok 25 Posted August 8, 2012 (edited) There's some sort of camo mesh on arma (seen near military tents). It would be cool if that is added as an item we can pick up use over cars and camps, will make it harder for helis to find camps also.EDIT: found a screenshot on google: Edited August 8, 2012 by sebastian.w
g12oome@hotmail.com 6 Posted August 8, 2012 It would only be effective if the camo was also hacker proof.. vechiles are easy enough to hide pretty well already, until a hacker just has all the vechiles on the map marked, then it doesn't matter what you've done.. chipdemon@yahoo.com 57 Posted August 8, 2012 It's camo netting, would be nice a nice addition for a lot of situations once the whole hacker situation is resolved.
chad57 21 Posted August 8, 2012 Cool idea. I need this too, pine trees and midget bushes are never enough to hide my armada.

Blakbewwy 8 Posted August 10, 2012 This is a great idea. I mean, since this game is meant to be realistic, we should be able to keep our vehicles hidden while we have to log off. Since, in real life, we don't just "log off" for long periods while we sleep/eat/toilet/etc.
SolarstormG5 5 Posted August 10, 2012 i think a camo sheet wouldn´t change much it would take 1 or 2 daysand people would get used to it and they would see it miles awayatm the only "safe" way to save a car is shootin its tyres and keep spare ones on u...yesterday i fixed a pickup which took me 10 rl hours and today it was gone^^u should be able to remove ur tyres so u don´t have to shoot them...

KlausB 4 Posted August 11, 2012 Some camonet which isnt a garage or some place to drive under but would fit the car in parking like a ghilie suit.It should look like this:https://shop.maennlein.de/article-images/800041.jpg

MouseDenton 6 Posted October 3, 2012 Find three or four conifer trees close to each other. Problem solved.I'll just got over to my local home and garden store and get some! Thanks!Seriously though, that camo netting is a good idea since no matter how well you hide a car from random survivors, that one team that has the heli can pick you out of the shrubbery like nobody's business. Done it myself while playing manhunt on a private hive. Vertical cover is a joke.
Mos1ey 6301 Posted October 3, 2012 This game needs car keys. No, it really doesn't. If you want to hoard shit, you should have to guard it yourself.

mibz0r 141 Posted October 3, 2012 ram into a tree or blow it up, then drive your vehicle into the fallen tree, problem solvedThis works very well, we had a Heli slide into the trees and whilst knocking them down with the Ural the Heli ended up being completely hidden by them, only thing is when the server restarts the tree's return to their original spot. Jex =TE= (DayZ) 218 Posted October 3, 2012 The problem with camo is that it looks fine and dandy when ur stood next to it but the moment you walk out the forest and turn back from 200m away it all stands out like a sore thumb.

dan.thorp@hotmail.com 1 Posted October 6, 2012 Hmm maybe some sort of horizontal mesh and the ability to remove vehicle parts like tires (not anything stupid like an engine unless it had a LONG animation). This way it would still mean you have to have some knowledge to hide vehicles so they wont be seen from the side, but it would be a lot harder to see from a heli preventing one clan from just flying over the map and getting all the vehicles. Although even if a guy on the ground did find your vehicle he would have to work hard to get parts for it. I feel this could help reduce hording of vehicle from independent player and even the playing field a little. Still I guess we will see what they do in the standalone and give more accurate feedback for that. And my server has restart so i will bid you good Day...Z

What if....You had a camo sheet that looked like a in game rock? You know the one's that look like cars from far away.lol Just park it by some rocks and your set.lol
Lights Out 141 Posted October 7, 2012 I would love to see it in the standalone. Wouldn't mind seeing it as a craft-able item for the reason of customization. For an example, you'd have to find netting and then fuse plants and such from the surroundings of where you'll be hiding your vehicle. This will allow for better camo no matter where you hide it.
Serious Stan 202 Posted October 7, 2012 Yes this would be cool!! i have all the vehicles on my high pop server. they have nothing. Now they will have nothing forever!
