I'm not asking to remove wire from the game, I love the idea and I think it's a good way to bolster defences when you are in a building.

I don't think zombies would be smart enough to be able to move around them or lift them out of the way or anything like that but I do think human players are smart enough.

I went into Stary and found most of the tents blocked by wire... this is ridiculous and serves no purpose other than to piss people off. People should be able to cut wire or move the fence themselves.

I have yet to manage to "v" over a wire that wasn't partially underground or at a lower level than my character... and i tried a lot :(

Works in theory, not in practice.

I had a toolbox and was at NE airfield.

1 barbed wire was blocking the air tower entrance partially.

I could not get it to give a remove option or get my character to step over what seemed a very easy step spot.

I tried "V"ing over barded wire once. Instant bloodloss, broken leg and knocked out for a while. Not trying again anytime soon.

Uou should be able to move it out of the way at least. There is no logical reason why this shouldnt be the case.... cuttable or not.

Oh and you can't vault over it... I tried, many times.

You can't really move the stuff barehanded. When you "place it" you're actually driving stakes into the ground and then binding the C-wire to the stakes with steel wire and then trimming off the ends so it can't be easily untwisted. Without a set of wire snips and gloves there isn't a chance in hell of moving properly placed C-wire.

Now with that in mind, you can still (with gloves) lift up portions of the c-wire to crawl under it, or with a board you can put that over the c-wire and walk across it (if it isn't stacked too high), but it's still extremely slowing to those wanting to cross it.

Its possible to go over those with V you just aint doing it right. I dont know what youre doing it wrong or maybe they are buggy sometimes but it still is possible.

V'ing over the wire will all depend on the placement, and if someone is familar with the quirks of the engine... then you will not be able to V over it.

I myself ran into a few last night, a church was totally blocked off with wire, and a fire station entrance.

And to top it off the person who stacked at the fire station put wire facing across the doorway and through it as well, like a final F'You to anyone trying to get in.

yeah ive been able to hurdle over wire with "V" but ^in places like the church it is bugged and you cant.

also ive never seen the option to remove the wire when having the toolbox in my inventory. never!

Something needs to be done about the barbed wire at certain locations, what is clearly happening is server hoppers are blockading the best locations (control tower, barracks etc) and pretty much annoying the hell out of everyone else.

Can we please make removal of barbed wire proximity based, rather than pointing at a tiny part of the wire (which is often in a wall)
