Rocket & Dev crew can piss off....If hes gonna work on "ANIMAL AI" instead of 90% of the real problems in patches these people have every right without bitching to do so IMO. He made his mod on the Arma engine where originally the community let people do what ever the hell they wanted to each others mods as long as you named them in the titles/credits...

Its like Rocket is trying to troll himself...terrible. All Rocket has done for the true Arma community is shit on it. I do love the mod but its a love/hate relationship that's for sure.

couldn't agree more. Rocket has no clue when it comes to handling the community. He creates a cool mod becasue the arma devs are more than happy to have their game modded. Now he wants to contorl everything. Not cool. I'm just waiting for the final release and then I will be ditching my paid for server for a private one.Anti Rocket has done more for the community than Rocket. Google it if you have no clue.

Its stand alone and will not affect your dayz mod files. If you PM me I'll send you a link on how to install the mod... I would post in the forums but I'm not 100% what rocket will do to me if I do :/

Cheers, I know how to install it (3 minute version) what I meant was until the Hacking, Fencing and other issues are sorted I don't want anything to put me off DayZ because it really is beginning to piss me off. There is nothing worse than starting a new relationship when there is baggage. I know the Respawn is Kinda working in it also, which is a bit Unfair for re-spawn point's

The hackers are gonna have a field day On Lingor, hopefully it will take some of them away from Chernaurus.

Never played this map with dayz before, can you just join it from the regular server list? Also can you bring your normal DAYZ character to it or do you start a brand new one?

I am interested to try it out! I am 31 from Canada and speak english.

It's an interesting map to play on. Overall it's about 2/3 the height and width of Chernarus, but it's all islands connected by bridges/strips of land. I'd say the playable area is easily less than half the size of Chernarus. It is pretty urbanized with lots of cities in that area. If you run more than about two minutes in any direction you will find a city/town.

You do realize setting up a camp on that map is impossible? people will find it so easy, the map isn't even half the size of chernarus, and camps on chernarus are easily found as well, you always bump into other players and there is hackers on the servers 24/7, i have played it for 2 days and bumped into atleast 4-5 hackers so far, some of them teleporting you into the air, others spawning ammo crates with every gun, some tping players to them and killing them. To tell you the truth i haven't even played it for 2 days, more like 5 hours all up over a 2 day period.

The map is still quite large. Sure, it isn't nearly as big as Chernarus, but i played it yesterday and it's still a big open world. I like it better so far, the tropics are so much cooler than dull brown Russia... And multiple heli's is always a plus. Me and some friends almost have ours up and running.

I'm on the fence about Lingor over Chernarus. I've really come to enjoy the vast wilderness of Chernarus and missed it while exploring Lingor there seems to be a lot of large towns and cities, which may prove to be the better in the long run if people spread out on the map instead of congesting into two cities. Most of the buildings that I have come across have been enterable which is great, I don't bypass small villages and towns like I do in Chernarus where only one out of a dozen buildings might be lootable and the large amount of water may make boats a viable option for transportation once they are fixed. There seems to be more bugs on LIngor, though this may not be the map but server related. I would still like to see a 500km or even a 1000km map complete with rivers and and interstate highways loaded with abandoned but unusable vehicles, maybe a snow-capped mountain or two.

The only reason I like Lingor is because it gives me that same feel of being a complete noob again. I have no idea where to go, where the guns are or where the hotspots are. Which is fun as fuck.
