Sick of hackers? Then stop whining and help fight back.

Recommended Posts

So hacking is getting really bad.

But! We are not totally helpless. There is an easy way to help the devs and battleye fight back.

I'm willing to bet that 90% of the immature dicks using hacks are getting them from just a few sites that are easy to find on google.

Most of these sites are use legitimate services to receive money or advertising revenue.

So, let's screw over the people who are screwing over one of the best games I've seen in more than 30 years of gaming.

Here is what you need to do:

  1. Google search sites, forum posts and videos that are promoting or distributing hacks and hacking info
  2. Suss out what services they are using i.e. Paypal (for accepting payments), Youtube accounts (for instructional videos), web hosting companies, Google adsense advertising (most of the ads you see on sites).
  3. Report the site, account or email address.

Here are a few links to make reporting easy.

Paypal: Send an email to aup@paypal.com with the site and paypal account username if you can find it.

Google Adsense: https://support.goog...ion_report&rd=2

Youtube: Click the "Flag" link under the video

Hosting Companies: To find out where a website is being hosted use: http://www.whoishostingthis.com and then report the site to the company named.

Sure we'll never be able to stop all the sites hosting this sort of crap but we can stop it being so easy.

You don't have to do all of them, just pick one and then feel slightly better about the 30 hours of loot you lost last week as these hacking dicks start to lose their easy income streams.

This has been tried before - those companies just don't care.

Even after it was pointed out to them that hacks violate software licence agreements and constitute an offence.

Be wary of all the shit you can get just from visiting some of those places.

I agree instead of complaining why not actually try to do something about it.

It looks like Cloudflare.com is hosting at least three of the prominent *** sites.

Drop their support guys a request to remove all hackings sites here: http://support.cloudflare.com/cgi/discussion/new

Feel free to berate them on twitter @cloudflaresys for being happy to host sites that promote hacking.

They'll get the message if we do!

The problem is, you'll never stop them. At some point, they (the real hackers) will get bored and tell some random guy how to do it. Then BOOOM they flood one site or another, or even build their own. They'll advertise by word of mouth. You can't stop them.

Even using fire to fight fire isn't going to work, because you can't stop an idea, only suppress it for a limited amount of time. Maybe a year, maybe longer, but eventually it'll get free. And if history shows us, ideas that are hidden have a habit of coming back much stronger than before they were hidden.

Also, most of these script kiddies don't know how to work their own computer, much less build a script. Knocking out the sites that support them does NOTHING to stop the real hackers, the ones that figure the tricks out. You can't stop them all.

Sorry, the best we can hope for is a slowing of the amount of script kiddies, as well as global bans for people that are caught. Knocking out an email only stops them for 10 minutes as they make a new one. Killing a video is pointless, as they post it to 20 other sites (youtube isn't the only one). Even slowing their income (selling the hacks) doesn't really work online as there are sites that truely don't care.

Today, I played for about three hours on NZ 2. In those three hours, everyone on the server was teleported together into the wilderness, tournamented, given a full set of gear with, only to be tournamented again, and then a third time.

At this stage, everyone playing this game is either a hacker, a cherno sniper/noob camper, or a complete masochist.

And if everybody is thinking like u, its the same with everything else. Don`t do anything it will become good by the time.

BULLSHIT

We have to fight against it with Emails and support tickets to the sites who are accepting that there are such Douchebags with no life and whom only target it is to destroy the fun of everybody else. Its like Politics. If u want something changed, Change it or at least try it. It will need only one post of every player (1 Mio) of dayz they have to admit it.

Fight against those Assholes who wants to destroy our Gaming fun with DayZ or any other Game. Dont look at it and think: "EVERYTHING IS GONNA BE ALLRIGHT"

I'm not so worried about the dozens of people that can make hacks for day z, but the hundreds or thousands of script kiddies they are dealing to. This can't really cause us any more trouble then we are already in i figure.

One of the major pay for cheat sites just had to move server. Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not.

Lets keep it up! At the very least we can get SOME revenge on these guys.

If you mean S0beit's site, then I think it gets attacked now and then - that's why he changes server. Bastard deserves it. Anyway, I like what you're doing. I can't help but feel that hiring a botnet and DDoS-ing their sites would probably be more effective though. :)

If a cheat site is charging for their hacks ... they aren't paying taxes. To pay taxes, they would have to be a registered company, and being a registered company would leave them open to legal action.

If you want to hurt cheat sites, report them to the tax and revenue services of whatever country they are being hosted in.

What we need is some whitehats to go and DDoS their web servers off the face of the earth. Test their forum software for any exploits and missing security patches. Leave them to IRC channels and other low volume channels to spread their corruption. I wonder if Anonymous are on the side of the people here.

Interesting how people are saying that it won't make a difference...

Of course it will. Permanently? Hell no, but displacement of their hubs takes time to restore. If youtube went down, some people would give up on video sharing until it was fixed. Some people would divide to the infinite youtube clones on the web, further dispersing their ability to communicate.

It's the same concept as actual war; it's not about total destruction in one sweeping blow. It's about displacement of assets until victory is acheived. If we can keep hacking down in any small way, BattleEye has time to work on a fix. If BattleEye can somehow pull together a fix, we can game until standalone. If we can game until standalone, problem solved.

You're not going to stop hackers by sending a support ticket to "wedontgiveashit inc."

The only hackers truly stopped was the anonymous scandal. The FBI arrested them.

We're sitting here accepting reality.

Or you can just wait for standalone.

Not really hackers will always find a way to hack a game lots of people supposedly already have hacks for standalone but at least some of the hackers will be gone :/
