You didnt read correctly. He got banned cause someone else had spawned in the illegal weapons. He didnt do it himself, he just had killed a guy who owned these and

he looted them from that guy. And as he said and what I've heard is that it's ok to use them so long as you didnt hack them in yourself.I've seen those G36C aswel but I burried them with the body.

With this logic a hacker could spawn in the ENTIRE WORLD for his friend and it would be OK since the "user" didn't hack them in himself.

If you pay for a server, you shouldn't have to risk a server you pay for getting attacked by hackers. If i owned a server, i would ban anyone with a hacked weapon, whether they spawned it or not. Its their fault for picking it up.

the point is, that there are simple rules. Every admin has to stick to the rules when they want to run a dayz server! You are not allowed to ban people because they found damn hacked weapons. I postet it so many times, if the player has a great knowlage of the game he knows which weapons are hacked and which one are legit. Luckily i am a smartass and looked on dayzwiki what weapons are in the game, but if you never looked on this side how could you possible know that a G35CCO with silencer is not supposed to be in the game?! you simply can´t if you are a rookie.

So if you are an admin and you know some players are using hacked weapons on your server, you should at least tell them to drop them for good before just banning them, it is against the rules smartypants and don´t accuse me of hacking or using hacked weapons you little fucktard. It is a debate of principles and to repeat myself again. If you don´t like the dayz rules don´t run a fucking server and if you ban players for using hacked weapons i hope you will get blacklisted.

If you find someone with a hacked weapon, you ask them to get rid of it. If they don't, kick them. If they return with it hand still refuse to discard it, 24 hour temp ban. If they return with it, perm ban.

Give them a chance, if once they are aware it is not a legit weapon and continue to use it, the ban is warranted.

No. We should punish the people paying out a collective $200,000 or so per month to support DayZ, and by extension ruin the experience for the legitimate players they're protecting.

servers ban for combat loggers hacked weapons and people being fuckwits all day, you act like being a server admin is a walk in the park and you have every weapon in the game and every supply in the game.

its almost a second job, do you know how hard logs are to read? do you know what we go through? EVERY DAY people hack our servers, we have to do what we can to protect our 40+ dollars a month.

People keep saying "not everyone knows everything", but it takes 2 god damn seconds to look on the wiki for the weapons in dayz. Seriously, if you got the mod, you should know there's a wiki for. I knew what guns where in when i started. Its not that hard.
