Download the shooting range from armaholic and play with the SVD to get hands on experience with it, much better than reading a guide.

It's not 225m, 300m, 500m, 700m, 900m and 1000m.

The arrows, not counting the big one on the top, are as follows: 200m, 400m, 600m, 800m, 1000m

  • Center: 225m
  • -1 Arrow: 300m
  • -2 Arrow: 500m
  • -3 Arrow: 700m
  • -4 Arrow: 900m
  • Tip of the vertical line: 1000m

DayZ wiki says something different.

Do you know what zeroing is? When you are zeroing you are aiming at the middle point of the scope.

Correct me if im wrong.

-1 Arrow: 200M

-2 Arrow: 400M

-3 Arrow: 600M

-4 Arrow: 800M

-5 Arrow: 1000M

Hence the numbers in the scope:

2 (200)

4 (400)

6 (600)

8 (800)

10 (1000)

I always thought it meant zeroing meant adjusting the scope for distance so that when you do shoot the target will be in the crosshairs.

The first arrow(Largest one) is for up close sniping. While the rest of the arrows follow in order from the table to the left of the scope, you use that table in order to measure how tell your target is to decide which arrow to use. If they measure up to the 2 you would use the first small arrow, if they measure up with the 4, they would be on the 2 small arrow, etc.

2= 200 meters, 4= 400 meters, and so fourth. The .5 is for prone targets.
