SubEclipse 22 Posted August 6, 2012 (edited) Hello all,I was just browsing through the logs on my server and noticed a file had been created today in the folder /Tmp2302/players/{PLAYERNAME}/face.paa(Where {PLAYERNAME} is the name of the player on my server).I understand this is a custom skin of some sort, but am wondering how it came to be on my server. Is this an expected, legitimate occurrence on servers?Thank you for the help. Edited August 6, 2012 by SubEclipse
Orcworm 18 Posted August 6, 2012 I imagine the server downloads the file from the client then distributes it to the other clients connected to the server.
SubEclipse 22 Posted August 6, 2012 ...Also, was this possibly part of the new beta patch 95660? I had this installed on my server for a brief time this morning, until I realized it was crashing the server, and rolled back.

Are custom skins allowed? I've never really researched the topic.
OrLoK 16185 Posted August 6, 2012 (edited) Hello thereJust to let you know custom skins are a normal occurrence in Arma2/DAYZ.Somewhere in your server config you can linit the file size.Set to >0kb to stop any custom face. It's nothing to worry about.RgdsLoK Edited August 6, 2012 by orlok

So far I haven't been able to come across it.Thanks again. Edited August 6, 2012 by SubEclipse
